I just felt that they didn't do a good job. It seems that they hired inexperienced workers and were never able to get it clean.

They are fabulous. We've used them for um-teen years and solved many issues for us. They honest, knowledgeable about their products and they don't rush you. They figured out the chorine issue. We've always been happy with them and the service they provide ; they are outstanding. I always know that I'm going to get the correct and honest advice. They are willing to work with you for weeks on end. This is one pool place you don't have to worry about.

I was able to record the pool school so I could watch it later if I had questions. The people at the store are really knowledgeable and were great about helping me understand the pool chemistry and work with me to turn it from dark green to crystal blue.

I  spoke with Brad  the week before and he stated that he would try to get to my house the end of the week or the beginning of next week to repair the spa. I had not heard from him by Monday morning. I assumed that he would be there on Tuesday. I got home Monday afternoon and a a phone message from his tech looking for directions. I called Brad and he said that he sent his tech to the house and the porch was locked. I said I had not heard from him by 9am and assumed that he was not coming today.I told him that if he did not get a live person, he should not have sent the tech. He sent the tech on Thursday and everything went well. When I received the invoice and saw that I was charged for the first trip to my home I called Brad and told him that was unfair as he should not have sent him without my being here.Long story short, we settle on a price that was agreeable to me. The work that was performed was great. my spa works and I would use them again.

After calling several well rated spa repair companies R&R was the first to answer their phone - which was not a surprise given that I was calling the week between two major holidays.
I told the person who answered the phone that the heater died in my hot tub and I wanted a service appointment to get it repaired. I relayed that I diagnosed the failure to the heater since if I turned the set temperature below that of the water both pumps would operate however as soon as the temperature was raised and the heater turned on it would trip the breaker. They agreed that was indicative of heater failure and that the earliest a service tech would be able to arrive was the following week. She also recommended putting a space heater in the equipment compartment to prevent the water from freezing. I was also asked my model of hot tub which I had to call back to tell them. 
I was surprised the day they were to arrive that they did not give me a call to give a service window, this was not something they promised but I guess I just expected. When the tech showed up that morning he also diagnosed the failure to the heater but that they did not keep my model of heater in stock. I was again a bit surprised since I had told them my exact year, make and model of tub along with the problem and that they did not order a heater or at least ask if I wanted them to order one that I would have to buy either way since they did not normally stock them.
I received a call back later that same day telling me the cost of the heater, that it would be in within a few days and that they would call me to schedule the appointment for the following week. A week later when I had not heard back from them I called only to find out they were closed for vacation. I later found out the tech was stopping in while they were on vacation looking for the part to come in and it got delayed in shipping. The following week the heater came in and an appointment was scheduled.
The appointment day came, the tech installed the heater only to find it was faulty - obviously this is no fault of theirs. They ordered a new heater and scheduled a follow up appointment for the week after. This final appointment was successful and the hot tub was operational. They did right by me and did not charge me for the second attempt to install the heater. 
All said and done R&R did a good job. My suggestions for improvement would be to be a bit more communicative with appointment windows and when a timeline is getting missed as well as giving people a option to buy a part if they are confident in their diagnosis.

I'm writing this because I have not written about these folks for about 10 years.  I have been using them constantly for that time period and their service (and friendliness and helpfulness) has been singularly wonderful. I can not recommend them highly enough.

For the last 10 years, I've just done what they've said and the pool has been wonderful, no trial and error.  No "try this (for $$$)" and then "Oh, well, maybe this ($$$) will work". 

They've showed up promptly when service was needed and always done good work (Installed cover, replaced pump, open and closing (occasionally) over the years.

I wish all businesses were run this well.
Oh, and the same folks have been there for the decade.

(Yeah, sounds too goo to be true, but I'm really this satisfied with these folks.)

Working with Brad Towne, and Carol Brotosky in their office, was very easy. He stayed in touch by cell phone to keep us informed of each thing that needed to be done, and then followed up several times to be sure we were happy. The work was mainly done while we were away, and we were very pleased to come home to find the pol open, as they had promised it would be.

It all went well. They showed up on time for the delivery and went out of their way to avoid damaging our property. Setup took a while, but they never seemed rushed. We go back for water testing and supplies and now it's like visiting old friends when we walk in. Carol and Brad are great, even remembering our names and past questions.

Pump mysteriously stopped working in the midst of dealing with an algae outbreak. Called R&R in the morning after finding them on Angie's List, discussed the problem and expected that I'd need a new pump. They were here within two hours, let themselves into the pool area, found water in one of the electrical outlets, repaired it and sent me a reasonable bill. No hassle about payment, rapid response and fixed an obscure problem without having me purchase a new pump. We will be using them now after having a poor experience with another company.

They are never late and the pool looks amazing when they are finished. They do a very nice job and I am very pleased with the service. Took water sample in. They did a full and complete computer aided test (not just amateur hand-waving) provided list of supplies, with detailed instructions written AND made sure in person that everything was understood (what chemicals did what, etc). See Carol (Brotosky). I've used them for a few years now. Their prices are a bit high, but by investing in the initial costs, I've saved oodles of bucks every year because they get the water balanced such that I save $$$ since it takes almost nothing to maintain the levels. They'll test water as often as you want. A pleasure doing business with them! (Current address is 256 Great Road Littleton, MA 01460)
