Dave does beautiful work. He kept me informed throughout the process. He is also an extremely nice, thoughtful person. I couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend.

I was very happy with the work that Dave and team did in installing my bathroom tiles. I have a very old house and the floors were very uneven but they were able to level the floor and do a perfect job in installing and cutting the tile. Would highly recommend.

Dave Morrell is very, very good. My experience with him was great.

We used Dave to install the tile in our bathroom after several neighbors had used him. He removed the old tile and subfloor and put down a cement board and tile on the floor. He also fixed a little bit of rot on one of the subfloors.
The tile looks great and he made some pretty difficult cuts around the edges. Very skilled.
We also had him regrout the bathroom tile in the shower. Some of this grout later fell out; but I think I was supposed to have chaulked over the grout in the corners.
My one complaint:
One thing though is that he had a lot of hand prints all over the walls. I had just painted the bathroom (while the old tile way down in case I splashed). The demo cause a lot of dust (which he did clean up), but I ended up doing one more quick coat of paint after the fact. In retrospect; I should have done the painting last.

I contacted Dave after getting his name from a local tile place in Concord that recommended him for his work. Dave responded to my call about 5 days after I had called and we set a time to have him do an estimate. He arrived on time and I told him that another co has quoted $450 to do the job. Dave was prompt and professional and talked about the color grout that would match the tile I had chosen and concluded that he would do the job for the same amount. He then sent me a contract stating that he would charge $15 extra for the grout on top of the $450. I politely inquired about the extra $15 b/c as he did not mention it when we were talking and asked him to waive it. He emailed me several days later stating that he would not-- and that he was now booked into NOV and if I still wanted him to do the job to contact him. He knew that we wanted the job done within the next two weeks and was trying to politely say no to doing the job. Clearly, by asking him to waive the $15 grout fee pissed him off in some way. I knew it was a small job for him but I stated this over the phone and he said it was not a problem. This did not make me happy. He did seem very qualified and probably would have done nice work but his communication and backing out of the job for $15 (that I offered to cover after he said no) was very disappointing. We are now searching for another person to do the job.

He is prompt, professional and knowledgeable. Excellent craftsman, very neat and good artistic judgement. The cost $800 for the kitchen back splash but the book shelves are a work in progress no estimated cost yet. Prices are reasonable.
