I had 5 dead trees that needed to be removed. Due to the distance from the street and the difficulty of access, the first four companies I called simply said they couldn't do the job. The trees are on the edge of a lake and Marc agreed to come out during the winter when the lake froze which made for easy access and a quick and simple job. In fact, Marc wound up charging me a bit less than the original estimate as the job went more quickly than he'd anticipated.

Mark is a great tree climber and a hard worker. However, during the course of the job, a branch fell the wrong way and tore the electrical wires away from our house, he dropped a massive portion of a tree trunk on the ground directly over the septic tank, and he displaced a 6 foot granite step when he attempted to drag a huge tree truck down a set of stairs. Mark took no responsibility for these “accidents”. He never mentioned the electrical wires, he only checked to make sure the septic tank wasn’t damaged after we asked him to, and despite his promise to return and repair the granite step, we never saw him again.

The job was split into two phases , a) cleanup up the fallen 25 ft + tree to prevent further damage to the garden and b) come at a later date to prune other trees, remove another tree and remove the debris from the fallen tree. Copp arrived on schedule to clear the fallen tree and quickly chopped up the tree. But he left the logs and branches scattered over my yard and the neighbors. We asked him to move it all into my yard but that wasn't acceptable to Copp. He refused to move the debris without additional money and became extremely rude, loud and impossible to talk too. We ended the work with cancelling phase 2 of the project and making it clear that Copp should not come back on our property. His colleague kept threatening us that she will call the police for non payment which wasn't true since we did not refuse payment even once. In the end we paid for chopping the tree and asked Copp to leave the property. The conversation got bad enough that we were about to personally dialed 911 worried about the family's safety.

The work performed was excellent. We had an excellent experience. We had one tree removed and many trees lining our driveway pruned. Also trees in front yard pruned. Arrived on time, courteous, and clean up was outstanding. Great attention to detail as it took a full afternoon. Also the cost was $500 below other estimates. and given at the time of the initial appointment. Response time to initial call and set up for an appointment for estimate a was very prompt. I would highly recommend Copp Tree Co

I've used Copp Tree company multiple times in the past and I am always impressed. Mark Copp (owner) is incredibly nice, professional and knowledgable. I, myself feel that when choosing companies you should always go with small businesses and I am glad I did. They worked with care and precision and made sure everything was done. I have a small house and neighbors are in very close proximity. Mark made sure all limbs were dropped in safe places on my property. I can't thank them enough for all there hard work.

The trees came down safely and quickly. As we had discussed prior, it was all chipped.

All of the work was done quickly and exactly how we discussed before the project. The trees were all trimmed, and they look a lot better and more healthy. The crew did a great job cleaning up, and at the end of the day it didn't even look like anyone was there. Overall an outstanding experience.

Overall, we would recommend Cobb and Tree without hesitation. If you need to have tree work done right, and have some patience (they are busy!) these guys are great to work with.

Arrived on time.  Did everything I asked him to do and for the agreed upon price.  He's a man of few words but he knows what he's doing.

The whole team was efficient and careful. No harm was done to the rest of our yard (minus a two small pot holes in the grass when really heavy pieces fell) and they cleaned up all the debris. Everyone was friendly and courteous.

Ordered a cord of firewood.  Ordering, and scheduling of delivery of firewood excellent.  Price was reasonable.  $275 per cord. Very pleasant on phone, and very quick to deliver.  No issue there.
Issue of wood quality.  Told this wood was seasoned for a year.  Quality of the wood is lousy.  Burns lousy.  Not seasoned well at all.  Still green and/or wet.  I am burning in a hearthstone wood stove.  Very disappointed in quality of the wood.  I would not use this company again for firewood.

Mark responded the next day, came out that evening, and gave me a estimate for the work on the spot.  I accepted the offer.  His crew arrived the next morning and did what was promised plus chipped one other large branch that wasn't part of the estimate.
While the crew was working I asked for an additional estimate to remove 4 large white pines.  The estimate was reasonable and they removed two trees that same day and came back the next morning for the remaining two.
Thumbs up.

Called Mark based on Angie's list review's and proximity to my house.   Reached voice mail and he called back promptly about a day later.  He was in the area doing stump work that day so he said he would take a look and give me a call in the afternoon.  He called later that day, we agree on a price and he did the work that day.

Mark did a great job even though one of the stumps was very large and there were many rocks in and around several of the stumps. He even noticed another stump (besides the five we had agreed on) that I have forgotten about that he also ground down as part of the original estimate.

I will very happy with his work and will have him take down another tree that is right next to my house and needs to be removed.

Highly recommend for the work he does as well as for the prompt response when I first called him.

This was a mixed experience. But from the outset let me say that I would hire Copp tree again. Mark came out to do the quote when he said he would, gave us a fair price. He did the work on Saturday and showed up exaclty at 8:30 as promised. There were three parts of the job, two went well. He pruned a large honey locust tree from a bucket truck-- looks great. He took down a very large cherry tree carefully-- no damage, cleaned up well. The third part of the job was to prune a very large (about 20 ft tall) overgrown apple tree. The tree had useless small apples but it also provided us privacy from neighbors. He pruned it from bottom up leaving a beautiful trimmed canopy which is about 15 feet from the ground (so my children will no longer be able to reach the apples). Also the area that was previously shielded from neighbors is now fully exposed. When I called Mark to discuss my diappointment with this he was apologetic. But he insisted that this is how the apple tree "needed" to be pruned and that this was the right way to prune an apple tree. He did not charge us for the apple tree. I should have been much more specific upfront about what we wanted.

I got Mark Cobb's name from my neighbor, saying that he was very good and reasonably priced. I called and he came out right away for a free estimate. He was on time for the appointment. He gave us a quote that we thought was reasonable, so we decided to expand the scope of the work. We negotiated the increased scope of work & new price over the phone. I asked for a written estimate. He told me he would give it to me on the first day of work. We set a start date (on a Monday). When Monday came he didn't show up so I called him. He told me that he left me an earlier message that his truck broke down and had to reschedule for Friday. I never received the message. I wasn't too happy since I took a day off from work but thought "hey, let's give the guy a chance". When Friday came he showed up promptly at 8:30AM with two other guys and three trucks. I discussed with him again the scope of the work and he gave me a written estimate for one and a half day of work. Then he told me that he mis-judged the scope of the work (four of the trees were taller than he had thought) and said that it might take two days. He then asked for $150 more to cover his labor cost. I thought that was fair and said OK, but told him that anything more than $150 would need my approval. They went to work right away. They worked hard and only took a lunch break. No goofing around or talking on cell phone. They asked me about things that they weren't sure about, which I appreciated since I didn't want them to take out anything that I wanted left in the ground. They worked until 5PM and accomplished quite a bit. Mark told me he would come back the next day (Sat) to finish the work. On Sat he arrived half hour late because he said he had to figure out where to get the loam since it was so early on a Sat morning. They went to work right away, and worked until 7PM that night. I was quite pleased with the finished job. They did what I asked them to do, and did it very well. They did an outstanding job cleaning up. They did a great job spreading out the loam so I could start seeding. They couldn't take the fence away since it was construction (and not yard) waste, but they piled up the sections neatly and discreetly in a hidden area behind the house. Overall I was very pleased with the work.

We have a large old oak tree in the front of our house, right against the street, that leans into the yard (making us afraid of it falling onto the house!) Another tree company recommended removing it altogether but we hate to lose the shade and the whole tree. Mark inspected the tree and suggested that we first try trimming some of the larger, lower branches, to give it a better shape and balance. It was done in no time - neatly, quickly, and efficiently!

Copp Tree was punctual when visiting to give us a bid and on the date set to do the work. They were highly professional, efficient, and easy to work with. They cut down all the necessary trees in very little time, removed all the debris, and even cut up some of the timber for me because I wanted to use it for fire wood. All of this was done for a very reasonable price (we received a total of three bids and Copp was the lowest). I would definitely hire them again and have since recommended them to many friends. A+ for Copp Tree.

Called 3 local companies for an estimate. Copp has done several municipal jobs for the town he lives in, and they recommended him. Mark was the first to call back and set up an appointment for the next day. He arrived promptly, and walked through with us (we had marked all the trees we wanted taken down). He wrote up an estimate on the spot, and included the name and phone # of his insurance company on the estimate. He answered all our questions without hesitation, he definitely knows what he's talking about. Before he finished the estimate and signed it, he walked it through one more time, and found a cherry tree buried in among the pines that we didn't know about. We called two days later, and gave the go-ahead. We didn't hear anything for about a week, and then he called on a Sunday, and asked if we wanted him to start on Tuesday. That was a little bit of a surprise, but Mark knew we were hoping to have the work done before Memorial Day weekend. So we agreed. He was late on Tuesday, but called on time to say he had an equipment problem, and would be along as soon as he fixed the problem. Which he was. It was really cool to watch him work. He knew what he was doing, operated his equipment effectively, and his crew was well-trained and hard-working. The work was completed in 3 days as promised. I would have liked to have things cleaned up a little better, but I was at work, and my husband isn't as picky as I am. Mark did everything we asked, and then some. If I ever have more tree work to do, I'll call him. All in all, this company was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt.

Excellent! Mr Copp was extremely careful with the equipment and the tree removal. Limbs and trees fell in the right direction to preserve landscape features. We asked some wood be left for firewood, the rest was chipped. They cleaned up all debris.
