Classic Construction

Description of Work: Classic Construction met with us to discuss our vision for the new room. Mike listened to us and presented some alternative ideas, all the while keeping in mind what our goal was: to have a four season room to take the place of our screened porch. We wanted the new room to allow us to "bring the outside inside. We wanted a larger room with more light and space than the porch. and we wanted to be able to enjoy the space all year round. Mike provided an architect who was able to make our ideas concrete. He met with us, shared his expertise, and sent plans in a timely fashion. Mike and Bryan Gannon, his partner provided electricians, carpenters, heating contractors,painters, dry wall people....you name it. They showed up on time and worked diligently. They were respectful of us, and at no time did we feel as if the process was intruding on our lives. Everyone who worked here was nice to have around. We were impressed with their work ethic. Mike and Bryan and Bob, who worked closely with them, routinely updated us on the project and what we could expect. They told us what they would do and they did it in a timely fashion

Description of Work: Classic Construction turned our architects drawings into a beautiful well built reality! Michael, Bryan & their team were wonderful. They built a two story addition to our home with a crawl space underneath. The first floor is a new family room and the second floor is a new home office with cathedral ceiling and skylights. Classic Construction also at the same time remodeled 2 existing 2nd floor bathrooms. They staggered the bathroom remodeling so we were never left without a working bathroom ~ which was great! We remained in our home during the entire process and everyone was friendly & worked around us nicely. We have 2 young children and they miss all the workers being around. The whole team was very knowledgeable, trustworthy & nice. We would definitely call Classic Construction for any future project.

Description of Work: They provided storm damage repair to our roof and replacement of our front gutter after a large tree fell in a glancing blow to the front of our house during Hurricane Irene. This price was for the emergency repairs.

Description of Work: Classic Construction did a complete gut and remodel of my kitchen in 2006 and replaced all my windows in 2008. The cost I listed above was for both jobs.

Description of Work: I contacted Classic Construction and was sent the owners son in law Mike Batson, Cornerstone Construction and Remodeling in Chelmsford, MA. He and Paul arrived and did an excellent job giving me an estimate. They took lots of measurements, they explained everything to me until i understood and didn't talk down to me. They had wonderful suggestions for my basement room. They also looked at the entire basement and noticed the supporting beam across the ceiling was separating and twisting. They suggested a carriage bolt to bring the boards back together and to stop the twisting. My father installed it. I am waiting to get references before I go with Cornerstone. I am a little bit leery as Classic seems to have a good reputation but I can't find anything on the son in law. I will write more if we do go with them. CORNERSTONE CONSTRUCTION DID THE WORK. They were very professional, clean up after themselves and detail oriented. I would hire Mike and Paul again.

Description of Work: They recently looked at something because we had some damage from fire. they ripped out the timber that was burned and replaced it. Chris Park plowed out our driveway so that we could get equipment and a dumpster out there and workmen could get through to the doorway and help them reach the basement where the work was being done. The furnace caught fire. They put in new wallboard. They put in some cement in an area on the floor.

Description of Work: They did some trim work, replaced cedar shingles, and repaired a plaster wall.

Description of Work: Classic Construction did a gut rehab of my kitchen in 2005 and came back in 2008 to replace all of my windows.
