General Remodeling
As good as it gets: outstanding ability and delivery, very pleasant to deal with, priced reasonably even not counting the top quality of work. A special bonus: with a vast knowledge of materials, techniques, building methods and construction practices (as well as codes and regulations), Norman reliably comes up with creative designs and practical solutions to all kinds of challenges.
It would be difficult to overstate the value of Norman's services to my family and to many others in this area. He has enabled a number of older people (including my parents) to remain in their beloved homes by offering affordable alternatives to huge make-over projects. He is extraordinarily skilled at making minimally disruptive repairs to windows and doors that were not fully maintained, or where manufacturers (as most have done in recent decades) used poor-quality materials with inadequate weather/insect resistance. For me, he has made successful and long-lasting repairs to a large number of windows that had seemed beyond saving (prior owner treated the house as a disposable). Repairs look better than the original, and saved me literally tens of thousands of dollars compared with even the cheapest replacement windows. And he is very good at defining projects outside of his area, making it much easier to negotiate with other contractors.
Simply put: I cannot imaging hiring anyone else for the kinds of work Norman does, am only able to stay in this slightly dilapidated house because of the many improvements he has made, and always feel confident trusting him with pricing, designs, house keys and code compliance.
