It was great. They are very easy to communicate with. Kris is a very knowledgable person. They were here when they said they'd be here, and if not, they let us know. The job took longer than they thought, but it wasn't their fault. The quality of the work was excellent. They are great to work with.

I contacted Kris Auger of Homepride and I am very glad that I did. I feel like I have found my contractor/carpenter for life. We hired Kris and his crew to do some carpentry prep work prior to having our house painted and it turned out to be a lot more work than we thought, but it was all absolutely necessary. Our house was built in 1955 and added on to in 1985, so even the most recent woodwork was completed over 27 years ago and the house had not been painted in 10 years. Most of the rakeboards at the corners where they meet the gutters were in very bad shape as well as multiple clapboards and all the other areas described above. A previous contractor working on another project had actually damaged one of the rakeboards with his truck and “repaired” it. The repair was so bad it was laughable. The first thing Kris’s crew did was to repair that condition properly. When I saw the work they had done, I knew immediately that these guys do great work. Because of the scope of work, Kris worked on a time and materials basis. The rate was competitive and while the total cost came out to more than I anticipated, this was due to several unforeseen factors. There were some areas described above that required major attention, one of which needed new structure, insulation, sheathing and siding. Kris called me right away, sent pictures and offered several options for solutions and materials when any surprises were found. Kris and his crew worked around another project that was happening on site at the time. Kris also provided some onsite supervision and stepped in several times to keep any unexpected charges from the other job to a minimum. Kris offered that no one needs to make any money from certain issues that arise and I was most appreciative of his honesty and willing to work with other contractors and subs. I also used Kris’s electrician for multiple services and they were excellent. They worked very quickly in a no-nonsense manner and returned promptly to fix something that was overlooked. Overall, Kris and his crew do great quality work at a competitive price. They keep the site clean, are on time and they are very contactable and communicative throughout the project. Most of the work was carpentry related, but Kris did provide some project oversight and demonstrated a real take charge attitude when it was required and is very experienced at coordinating all of the trades. I highly recommend Homepride whatever your project may be. I know I will use them again without hesitation.
