VIEIRA PAINTING

We can't say enough about Vieira Painting. Nivaldo contacted us the same day we left a message on his service and gave us an extremely competitive bid on much-needed repairs and painting of our home's exterior. He identified, replaced, and painted rotting shingles and wood trim and repaired a damaged gutter. Nivaldo was on-site at all times, working alongside his polite, professional team. We will call on them for all future projects.

Navaldo painted the exterior of my house and it has never looked better. His crew was on time every day and did a thorough and excellent job. I also had interior painting done and the work was excellent. I will definitely hire him again.

The work is excellent. They repaired the walls, and you cannot even tell there was ever any damage. I have used them several times and will definitely use them again. The price is very fair especially when the quality of the work is factored in.

They did an efficient and high quality job, with great attention to detail. We'd had our floors refinished immediately prior to the painting and Nivaldo took care that the floors stayed paint-free. The job was complete in 6 days, which was what we requested. We were so happy that the job stayed on schedule since we had a tight timeframe in having the painting done and then moving furniture in the next day. We selected our colors and sent the codes for them by email, including instructions for no voc paint, and it all came out the way we specified.

Faster than we expected which was good.  Three days instead of the quoted 5 days.  Friendly, polite workers.  They respected our house, no loud radios, etc.  Nivaldo gave advice on paint colors where appropriate.  They moved the heavy furniture and replaced it when done.  They also protected rooms not being painted with sheeting.  I've already recommended them to a friend.

He did a great job.  You can't tell that the house had been stripped,
meaning that the wood was not damaged in the process and ended up with a
nice finish.  They came when promised and it was completed within a
week.  I took lots of pictures when the house was stripped to show the
next owner to prove the removal of lead paint down the road.

Nivaldo did an excellent job on this project and was very flexible and patient at dealing with project add-ons and changes.  He was not daunted by the fact that he was dealing with 150 year old plaster walls and did a great job smoothing them out and painting over them.  Since the painting project coincided with an electrical upgrade project, we ended up adding on several rooms as walls had to be opened up.  Nivaldo found time in his schedule to fit in this additional work and did not leave us hanging.  He did a beautiful job on our house and we are very pleased.

Overall I am pleased with the results, in spite of a couple bumps along
the way.   Most annoying was when one of the painters proceeded to paint
the garage in spite of dark storm clouds and predicted heavy afternoon
rain.  Of course, the paint ran down on windows and shrubs and needed to
be done again the next day.  Lesson learned -  I should have told him to stop.
The owner was always responsive to my calls and requests.   

Called Oliveira Painting and was given an estimate in two days.  Contract was emailed to me in three days.  Given start date of June 18th, .  Very pleased they could start early than planned.    Excellent job done and even did extra painting on house (not in the contract price) no further charge.  I will definitely have them return to work on my house again.  Comments positive from neighbor on painting job completed.

Recommended by a friend and Angie's list. A small family company, he runs the crew, she handles the estimates. Very clean job. No spills and no damage to plantings around the house. A month or two between an estimate and the work done, Friendly crew. A couple of hiccups in the process. They did not match one of the trim colors and gloss properly but cheerfully and quickly repainted the trim. Twice. Some sort of miscommunication at the paint store. I eventually bought the correct color myself just to be safe. They also painted steel gutters and downspouts that were already tiinted by the manufacturer. A little odd. Nice people though. They ate the cost of the wrong trim paint which must have eaten into their profit on the job. I'd use them again though. Thinking of having them paint my garage.

Our experiences with Vieira Painting were as follows: The quote was very competitive.  There were no surprises during or after the project   We added several new items onto the scope.  Vieira accommodated them very flexibly and affordably  The crew was courteous and performed excellent job quality-wise   Mr. Vieira himself was extremely professional and reliable.  He was committed to over-delivering on his promises.  For example, his crew sanded the deck before staining while other painters have just pressure-washed it.  He also had a new hand-rail installed because the old one did not "look good", all without an extra charge. We have used several painters during our 15 years of home-ownership and 2 renovations.  Vieira is clearly the best of them all.  We will definitely use the firm for our future painting projects. 

They were very good, very efficient and prompt. I think that their price was a little high. They did the work within a couple of weeks. There was a language issue. They were very responsive, they called right away.

They did a quick and clean job and showed up on time.

I had my house painted at the end of the summer. I was not home during the initial painting and it was all done by the time I got home from work. I picked the color, which looked great on a cardboard square hung up against the house, but ended up reading lime green when you looked at the house from the street. After a couple of weeks I decided that I couldn't live with it. The original painters were already booked to the end of the season and could not do the repaint. So I used Angie's List to pick Vieira Painting and was very relieved that they could do it. I dealt mostly with Audrey Vieira, who advised me to try my new intended color on the house itself, which I did. Then we agreed on a day and I met Nivaldo in the morning so that I could see the paint color and see the first few brush strokes go on to make sure there would not be another surprise when I got home from work. Nivaldo and his crew finished in a day, cleaned up everything, and I came home to a beautiful house. That weekend I found some drips, just like I did with the last painter, and about the same amount. Nothing major, but some were on the second floor trim and I did not want to get on a ladder to fix them. Nivaldo came back and fixed them. I appreciated that I could communicate with Vieira Painting by cell and email, especially email, because I'm on the road a lot.

I received 6 bids for the job. Nivaldo Vieira's bid was reasonable and fair in comparison to these, and included the full scope of work we needed done, and therefore seemed the best overall value. His estimate was not written-up real fancy like others, but he does not sub-out the job like many others - he is there, everyday, working with the team.The work was begun on time, and completed without delay. The quality was excellent overall. One door threshold needs a touch-up - that's it. The workers were polite and professional. Super job, scoring an A on the three pillars of the job: Quality, Price, and Timeliness. Suggest: watch out for others who have fancy computer estimates but who are just there to close the deal, and then sub-out the job at a fraction of the cost you are paying, and never pick up a paintbrush themselves. Often, these folks are never at the jobsite again, or only on the first and last days, the latter to collect a check. They typically have several teams working several houses at one time. Vieira painting is not this type of beast - personal service, reliable. I discovered Nivaldo is an international champion marathon runner and, indeed, has the discipline to see the job through to the finish line. Only drawback: Nivaldo can be hard to understand. Any issues there were overcome by speaking with his partner, available by phone or email anytime.

Vieira Painting is punctual. They did a good job. We added a little work and he told us what that would cost and he did it. They are very personable and we liked them.

We absolutely loved this guy and his work on our home. He came in on an estimate and was very helpful in choosing a trim color. We decided we wanted some red trim. He was helpful and very artistic. They were neat, clean, and very personable. He was very understanding about a payment glitch the bank had.

We had gotten four quotes and they seemed to be right in the middle range. They did an excellent job and really knew what they were doing. They had no problems finding the right color stain we wanted and even stained our shutters as an added bonus. The only complaint would be a few drops of stain that I noticed on some our other wood but that was it.

Excellent. I was very appreciative that they were willing to come for such a small job. I'll definitely give them a call if and when a bigger project comes along.

In general we were very pleased. Nivaldo came and gave us an estimate with 24 hours of our call and started work the same day. He and his two employees worked very efficiently to complete the project in spite of the cold weather. They were attentive to detail, tried to match the trim we had, and made some good suggestions. There was a language problem with employees but Nivaldo was generally available.

The weather conditions forced us to reschedule with Nivaldo a couple of times before he and his crew were able to get started. Once the work began, they prepared the painted surfaces and knocked that out quickly. At Nivaldo's suggestion, we decided to go with a solid oil based deck stain to cover the discolored wood and previous stain. I had power washed and prepped the deck myself earlier. No sooner had Nivaldo finished staining the deck, it poured rain ruining the finish. Nivaldo came out the next day and surveyed the damage. Bottom line is he put a second coat on the deck within a couple of days (at no charge) and the deck looks great. I really appreciated the "no hassle" aspect of doing business with Nivaldo and the quality of the work. He is very professional and customer oriented.

When a painter whom I had hired had a family emergency, I joined Angie's List. Mrs. Vieira called the next morning, her husband came to see the job and shortly thereafter appeared with two of his workers to explain the project. The two men spoke little English and the Vieiras were leaving the next morning for a vacation. Mr. Vieira said that he would keep his cell phone turned on in case we encountered any problems. None appeared and we were able to communicate enough. The workers appeared on time, did a great job and were pleasant, quiet, and neat.

I was disappointed with the quality. The woodwork was not prepped at all, only painted over. I wood expect a professional painter to remove loose paint chips before painting
