I give them excellent reviews and did not find them on Angie's List. Prior experience led me to contact this company; in the past they did basement masonry repair. Their professionalism stands out and everything was above expectations. I will use them again in the future.

He was on time and on budget, no problems. This is probably the third time I've had him do masonry related work for me. His estimates may not be the lowest, but in my experience you get what you pay for.

My experience with them goes back 40 years or so.  I had them put a patio underneath my living room in the 1970s and it is still serving me well.  About a year or two ago, I had them replace our front walk and front steps.  He isn’t cheap, but if he says he is going to do something he does it right.  They did a superb job as far as I am concerned.  I like the quality of their work, but I also like that they came in, did the work to price, did it on time, and there was no haggling or anything like that.  I have had experience with him and his father, and I have a great deal of confidence in them.

No complaints: courteous, punctual, willing to explain, final cost was even a bit lower than the estimate.
Pumps have been working well.

When I called I was told they were very busy and he would get back to me in 2 weeks.  Two weeks later I called again and the
call was returned the following day stating they had trouble with the phone and were sorry not to respond quicker.  Claus and 2 installers arrived about an hour later to inspect the job.  The next morning they were back on time to do the work.  They isolated the work space so that dust wouldn't get all over the basement.  The work took about 4.5 hours.  They cleaned up after themselves and explained how the pump works.  They were very professional.

My dirveway drain emptied into a dry well that had become plugged with leaves and sand, causing water to back up into my garage.  I consulted the company for their suggestion of a solution.  They discussed several options and we settled on connecting the drain to a plumbing pit and turning it into a better dry well.  They had to dig through some concreate, lay a short wide pipe and dig out and prepare the new dry well.  They seemed to really know what they were doing.  When I made a suggestion, they clearly and politely explained why it was not a good idea, so I went along with their greater experience.  Last week when Hurricane Irene dumped more than 5 inches of rain, my new dry well handled the torrents of water with no problem.  My garage stayed dry.

Another company had made a suggestion that would have been a disaster.  I am glad that I went with Charles Ronchetti.

We initially contracted for the job last August, but we were warned that they might not have enough time to complete already committed work before the cold weather arrived. That turned out to be true. The next spring when they contacted us, we did not have enough money, and they were very understanding about that. Later in the summer we found we could afford the job, and several weeks later they arrived and completed it. They did the job quickly and substantially below estimate, and we also got a three percent Angie's List discount. When I encountered a small problem with the work, they returned our call the same day, and the next business day they returned, first thing in the morning, and fixed it. They are nice people, highly professional, and do a great job.

Very professional, on time couldn't have asked for anything more. We haven't had any bad rain to test it out yet but I'm sure they would come back and assist if anything didn't function properly.

I'm performing renovation on a house I recently bought, the unfinished walk out basement was being used as a workshop area and staging for both new materials and construction debris. As a result of the extensive snow melting we experienced early in March the local water table rose to the point where water was literally flooding up from cracks in my basement slab. I had an existing small (12"x12") and shallow (~8") sump pit along w/ a weep opening to the footing--the weep opening was literally gushing water into the basement, and I wound up with approx. 1-2" of water over the entire basement area. I needed this area to be at least semi-dry to continue work on the house. I called the 3 Angie's List top rated companies in my area, as well as the local B-Dry franchise. Klaus from Charles Ronchetti called me back promptly the same day and was able to meet me the next morning to provide an estimate--he was exactly on time. (I'd like to note that none of the other companies had even returned my calls at this point) Klaus reviewed my situation (wet unfinished basement, water pouring into weep opening at footing) and provided me a range of potential options to try to solve the problem, as well as some other advice for minimizing water intrusion. He suggested that the smallest (least expensive) possible step I could take would be improve my current single sump pit and add a small 5' french drain to handle water at the problem area. He also provided a more extensive solution which involved a french drain along one entire basement wall, removing and closing my current sump pit and adding two sump pits and pumps at the rear corner of my house where water would discharged. I opted for the more extensive system--Klaus called the office and was able to schedule the work to begin the next day (in time for several days of major rain which would have certain resulted in re-flooding of my basement). The next day I was called by Charles Ronchetti, he arrived on time with his crew, he walked me through what would be done, what I should expect, and how long it would take, he also provided me with additional advice regarding the walk out area of my basement where he noted I would probably be having problems (and I do have them, but had not mentioned them). I left for the day, as his crew began putting up plastic sheets to protect all the items in my basement from the work they were doing. That evening I came home and saw that the drain had been completely installed, including the pumps (which were operating and pumping out all the rain we were now receiving!). He even was able to "tunnel" under a problem area where the main stack of my sewer was being supported on the slab (thus saving me from having to call a plumber!). The following day they put down the concrete over the drain and added a lid to the sump pits. All in all I'd say the work performed is excellent. Charles, Klaus and the crew were on-time, professional, and left my basement and property cleaner than it was when they arrived. I highly recommend them.

First, Charles came over to explain our options and give us an estimate. The less expensive option was to dig a sump at a low point in the cellar but not to install drain pipes along the perimeter of the cellar. This would not eliminate all water from the cellar. The other option was a sump and drain pipes, which would make for a dry cellar. We went for the first option as the cellar is not finished; it doesn't matter if there's some water, as long as it doesn't damage the appliances. If the first option turns out to be inadequate, we can add drain pipes later. Charles seemed to favor the first option, given our needs. Certainly he did not push the second, more expensive one, which is to his credit. He took a lot of time to explain the options, drawing a diagram. Soon after, he came with a worker at the appointed time to do the work, which took about four hours. Then charged us the amount agreed upon. He was not completely organized. He was delayed for his initial visit. Phoned us from the road to tell us he'd be a couple of hours. late. That was fine. But after a couple of hours, he still didn't show up, and we didn't know why. He forgot to call us a second time to explain that he had been caught in traffic on Rt. 93, and to tell us his new estimated time of arrival. The morning of the work day, he called us to say that we would arrive at the house later than his workmen (actually there was one). Would I tell them where to dig the sump, whose location we had discussed on his first visit. I thought that this was an inappropriate request, and declined to take that responsibility. He ended up coming at the same time as the workman. Because he left before the workman finished, I didn't hand him the check. When I called him about getting the payment to him, he asked me to mail it. The same day I mailed it, I received an invoice from him (he hadn't mentioned to me an invoice). The amount on the invoice was a two hundred dollars less than the amount agreed upon, which was also the amount of the check. Another instance of disorganization, which left me wondering whether I had been given a good price. (I never brought up with him the discrepancy.) But in person he was pleasant to deal with, and the work looks to be done well.

From and installation, preperation and clean up, the job was excellent. Workers were on time and efficient, asked questions to be sure they were providing the right coverage; cleaned up and removed all old concrete and dirt removed almost as they were never there (some dust but not an issue); even cleaned up the diveway. Of course, we have not has the spring thaw or heavy rains yet to be sure that the drainage works properly, but if the efforts of the installation are any proof, then I expect it to work well. Owner told me to call him at any time if there was any issue. He performed the final inspection himself.

I did a lot of research before I invited companies to come in and give me an estimate, so I already knew which brands of pumps I thought were reliable, etc. When the Ronchetti rep came, he outlined a plan that was right on with what I thought I wanted/needed. Other companies tried to convince me of other approaches that just didn't appeal to me at all. The workers were experienced and Ronchetti himself often came to the work site to make sure everything was moving forward well. While digging, they discovered that my sewer line was deteriorated so they arranged for a plumber to come and replace that section with no delay. The result has been wonderful, especially with all the snow we've had - the drain expels all the melt-off and keeps my basement dry. That was the goal!

They did a first class job and they went out of their way to make it work right. They came in right at our budget. The price seemed fair and well worth it. We have plans to use him again as soon as the snow melts.

Charles and his crew were wonderful. The were prompt, polite and very neat. Jack hammering concrete flooring is a messy job and his crew covered everything and blocked off the doorways with plastic to contain the concrete dust. The bulkhead turned out great. They extended it out into the yard a little and added a concrete step and about 6 inches of height overall. There are no seams or cracks in the concrete - you would never tell that anything was added after construction. We were very pleased with the result.

I'm very pleased with the experience and would recommend this company. I think their price was fair. They came in the middle of 3 estimates I got. They were professional and very easy to deal with. Initially called and had visit for estimate in July 2010. I contacted Charlie in the fall to say I wanted to go ahead with the work. Agreed to do the job in January. Was called in December to offer me an earlier date. I said I'd prefer to stick with January and they were fine with this. Work started January 10th as agreed. The employees were all polite and friendly. They worked the 10th and 11th, then job interrupted by a snow storm on the 12th. They came back on the 13th and had to shovel their way round to the bulk head to get back into the basement. Work was completed by noon on Friday Jan 14th. Charlie had recommended an electrician he works with, Neil Hartery, who came down and wired in the sump pump on the Friday afternoon. He was also very pleasant to deal with and put in a couple of extra receptacles that I requested. It will probably be a few more weeks before the job has to be put to the test in terms of keeping the basement dry, but I'm confident that things will look a lot better than they did last year when there were several inches of water on the floor for about a month. Thank you Charlie and team.

My basement was flooded. I spoke to three different waterproofing companies. I chose this company because they had some other work for me in the past. As they are masons, they had rebuilt something for me. Theirs was not the cheapest estimate, but I felt they would do a good job. The work he did on the French drain was cheaper than the estimate. The original estimate was for a complete French drain. However, he decided that I didn?t need a French drain on a specific part of the house. I also had the slate tiles of my pathway replaced. He had told me that the work would be done in October. However, in August, I called him for a confirmation. He called back. Apparently, a lot of people on their list were away. So, they came out in August and started the work. The work cost me $8500 totally. They charged $1800 for the stone work and the remaining amount for the French drain. I would recommend them because they are craftsmen and are perfectionist. They have the old-world pride in their trade. I would hire them back in a minute.
