Initial meeting was fine. His first idea was less expensive but I didn't want it. The more expensive idea, my choice, was the addition of the dry-well. I am glad that he was flexible and did not present the most expensive plan initially. Then getting on his schedule was more involved and required that the homeowner be pretty flexible because they like to start the interior work when it is going to be rainy for a day. He's pretty popular in my town but I was able to get it started in June. The process itself was an ordeal. Jackhammers, dust everywhere, even with a plastic sheet up between the basement and the living area. The whole thing took 4 1/2 days. No blame here, just warning others about what they are in for. The results will be worth it I hope. I'm actually looking forward to the first multi-day rain event. Did not rate quality since I haven't had to test it yet They were good about cleaning up the basement and yard when they were done. Also very courteous.

He replaced the old pump with a much more powerful and higher quality pump. The old pit was dug out and replaced, new stone and concrete were added to stop the undermining of the garage floor. The pump has worked well in the rain storms we have had so far. He was punctual and his crew was professional, the job was competed in one day. They made a recessed cover for the pit. It looks great. I had looked at many others to redo my sump but he appeared to have the most experience based on my research. He had told me he could do the job in sept. but he had a weather related opening and did the job in July.

Charlie Ronchetti was terrific - he has a rare combination of engineering skills, aesthetic intelligence, and interpersonal abilities, and his crew showed great care and attention to detail. We ended up with a project that looks even better than we'd hoped, and that should last for many years. Not the cheapest, but we feel we got excellent value at every step of the process.

The tough winter took a toll on our already aging front steps.  I called for an estimate to repair loose bricks, but Charles told me that he thought we really needed to replace the whole front steps.  He came highly recommended so I trusted his assessment.  I let them know when we would be on vacation and they completed the work while we were out of town, which was very convenient.  The steps look great and we are very pleased with the work.  I can't compare prices because we did not get other estimates.

Very committed and competent workers who installed the system speedily and cleaned up meticulously.  The result has stood the text of time in a basement that had always leaked in heavy rain.  An excellent result, and I do not hesitate to recommend.  Not inexpensive, of course, but it was wonderful to have the problem completely rectified.

Charlie showed up and within 5 minutes he diagnosed the problem and had the solution worked out. His guys came the next week and worked like dogs for 2 days. They were great. They installed the french drain in one corner of the basement and put in a sump pump which threw the water outside into the drain ditch they dug.Since then I havent had any water issues in that corner of the basement and the drain and pump are working perfectly. I am going to call Charlie to give me a quote for some masonry work i need done on my front steps. I would recommend Charlie Ronchetti to anyone.

Excellent work quality; Charlie knows everything about stone walls and masonry.  We will definitely use him again. He solved a pretty severe water/drainage problem with an economical solution relative to other proposals.  He installed a french drain on one end of the property and a drywall on the other end.  He also installed a stone retaining wall along the front of the house and fixed some leaks in our chimney that several contractors had failed to fix.

Terrific.  Incredibly responsive -- coming over on a Sunday even to investigate.  Handled follow up items very quickly.  Very knowledgeable. Strongly recommend.

Three years ago in March, I called Charles Ronchetti, Inc. to look at the outside chimney for sealing, and the fireplace hearth for acid washing, and provide an estimate. He looked at the chimney, and showed me many places of missing mortar (open holes) and cracked and/or chipped bricks, and that the original mortar was pushed in so far between the bricks that a "shelf" was created where rain water and snow would sit and seep into the bricks. Freezing and thawing had caused the damage over many years. He made recommendations for repair to which we agreed. The chimney was re-pointed to bring the mortar even with the front of the bricks, causing the rain water to run down the side, rather than sit on the "shelf" at the edge of the bricks.  All of this work, as well as the front stairs and hearth, was completed in a very professional and meticulous manner. We were extremely pleased with the final result and appearance of all work.  I would definitely hire Charles Ronchetti, Inc again. He was very knowledgeable about our problem.  It has now been three years since the job was completed, and everything is still perfect.  I highly recommend this company for their knowledge and  expertise.  I feel that the price was very fair for all the work involved.

The crew has been very professional. He was very professional. The quality of the work was outstanding and the prices were reasonable for quality. They go little bit beyond and they took the extra time and did the job right. They are the most professional work man I had come in here. They are timely. I am using them again as they already doing some work for us today and they are going to do some minor things today and tomorrow.

We originally contacted this company to take a look at waterproofing/fixing up the worn out masonry in our basement and underground garage. Upon their recommendation (to live in the house and get an idea of how bad the water problem might be in the basement) we started with just the garage. That clearly needed work.
As an indoor job we went on a rainy day waiting list, which took a while and we weren't sure exactly when the work was going to get done. After a while we hadn't had a rainy day so they just called and came by to do the work, which was nice.
They did a much nicer job than I was expecting, completely filling all of the cracks and chunks of worn-out masonry, stucco-ed the entire thing, and painted it with dry-lok to prevent moisture leakage into the garage. They were in and out in a little over a day and were very professional. I will probably use them to do the basement in a year or two if it looks like we need it.
