Philip Porter's crew of two spend about two hours on our roof to remove significant ice build-up. They did not have a steamer available for removal but still managed to remove the ice without any visible damage to the roof.

Fair to say that we have the highest possible opinion of Porter Builders - in every instance, Phil has provided thoughtful advice, creative options and absolutely stellar work. His team (plumbers, painters, sanders, electricians, etc) is exceptionally skilled and professional (I suspect in part because they respect him as much as his customers do). He stays in touch and he meets his commitments - including in getting the work done within the time agreed. His pricing is fair and very reasonable. Their price was in the same range as the three other quotes I received. I was very satisfied with the finished work. Considering the bathroom needed a total gut, I was impressed with their ability to set expectations up front when the project would be completed (they met the time frame originally outlined) and when they would be on-site to perform the work. Philip was extremely responsive, always answering my calls which is something I've rarely experienced with other contractors. One thing that set them apart was their ability to assist with designing the bathroom. Porter Builders works directly with a licensed architect which was helpful since I'm not overly creative.
