I called asking for a rate quote and after Lettie gathered pertinent information she said she would do a little research and call me later. As promised, she returned my call within one hour and said that the lender could not provide a loan because my property is atypical. However, she was able to provide a referral with a local institution who could help. Though brief, I had a wonderful experience and was impressed with the service.

It did take several months to close the loan, but that was out of Monument's control. During the process, they kept in touch with me advising of progress and needed documentation.

Appraiser came and went in no time.
I gathered all the papers required, sent them in, and waited until the bank was ready to close.

Roger did a fantastic job. I did a lot of calling around as we were signing the P&S on our house, and he was able to give us the lowest rate and lowest closing costs. He was very easy to work with, quickly and knowledgeably responding to our many questions, over phone and email, even during non-business hours. The whole process went very smoothly. Got our mortgage commitment letter early, and were fully cleared to close early.

They know home financing inside and out. There is no question in my mind that they are way more knowledgeable than any other company and I have talked to a lot of companies about mortgages and refinancing.

When I first bought my house, I used an online lender (Quicken) who put me in a toxic interest-only loan. A friend recommended Monument and, soecially, Joe Cooper. Joe worked really hard to get me into a new mortgage that would work down the principal at a reasonable interest rate. He's very knowledgeable about credit and mortgages and took excellent care of us. I would use him again in a heartbeat and I tell everyone I know to call Joe -- he's absolutely the best mortgage broker and an honest, stand-up guy.
