Started out great. Then went down hill. Everything was an extra. We wanted different tile. Willing to buy it. Told us he had to install it and charge lots extra Sold us umbrella post. Paperwork shows stainless. Was aluminum and would not refund the money even though it rotted out

Steve Jackson pool was recommended to me by my contractor.  The first time he came, he was very professional and took a long look at my indoor pool, telling me all the things wrong with it (we just moved into the house, so it was all new to us).   He then became completely impossible to get in touch with - no return calls, no follow up, no specific dates for maintenance, no estimate as requested.  Giving him the benefit of the doubt because I trust my contractor, I called again to schedule my next maintenance.  After a few weeks, Mr. Jackson finally returned my call and scheduled an appointment.  This time the tech said my pump was broken and took an hour trying to figure it all out. He said he'd get back to me with an estimate on how to fix it.  Then everyone disappeared again.  No estimate, no contact, no return calls for over a month.  2 bills then came, which included cost for the survey of the pool.  Another bill then came for maintenance in May.  We had actually switched the locks to our house, so there was no way the maintenance person could have come in May unless I let them in, which I did not.  I assumed this was merely a mistaken bill and called to clarify.  Mr. Jackson didn't call me back for over a month, and when he did he was combative. He angrily agreed to remove the charge for the survey of the pump (since, as I told him, it didn't actually do me any good that his technician knew the problem if they never got back to me about how to repair it and estimated costs), but then said I was calling his tech a liar in saying he couldn't have entered the house in May.  In fact, I didn't think any one was lying, but thought there must have been a mix up with another house.  Once Mr. Jackson became combative though, I explained that I would pay his bill as long as he understood that I thought he was being dishonest, and intended to tell my contractor who referred him and would post it online.  Thus, this review. 
Over all,  I found Jackson pools to be virtually impossible to get in touch with, impossible to get follow up from, unreliable, and disorganized.  On a positive note, the techs were very nice guys and seemed to know what they were doing.  When they came.
