Kirk brought my piano to a good C, and then tuned the rest from there. Evaluated the piano parts (hammers, sound board, etc.) and made further tuning recommendations. Discussed piano values with me. He was professional, knowledgeable, and informative. I would hire him again and would hightly recommend him to anyone wanting quallity work.

Fine: Kirk was prompt getting back to me to make the appointment, arrived right on time, and worked efficiently. The piano, which had not been tuned in a number of years, is back to sounding like its best self.

I contacted Acoustic Piano Tuning and via email and got a call back the same day. We set up an appointment for a day or so later. Kirk Hughes arrived on time and tuned the piano. He was professional and knowledgeable. It took about an hour. I will definitely have him back next year when it's time to tune the piano again.

I sent an email to Mr. Hughes via the Angie's list website. He responded very quickly and was able to come to my house and tune my piano the next day. He was very professional. He explained everything he was doing. When he found out I was new to the area, he informed me of piano teachers in the area I could contact for lesson for my daughter. I would highly recommend Mr. Hughes. I will definitely be using him again next year when I need to tune my piano again.

The experience was great! This was a 50-year old family piano that had not been used for quite awhile. Kirk was very pleasant, examined the piano, and gave me options and price ranges. When he found the crack in the back, he researched how to fix it, and came back a week later to take the piano apart and stop the crack from spreading. He was very honest about what he would recommend leaving (due to cost and age of piano) versus what would be worth the investment. I highly recommend Kirk!

Mr. Hughes was able to come the day after I called him. Very professional and my piano--which hadn't been tuned in about 10-15 years--sound wonderful. Amazing! He was also able to let me know how much he thought it might sell for (we inherited the piano from family). Would highly recommend Mr. Hughes again and will be using him again next year when I need to tune it again.

Mr Hughes came immediately (the afternoon I called) which was very convenient. He tuned the piano down slightly as I requested because the last tuner had snapped one of the strings. He tunes with a little electronic machine, which seems to be common round here, but I still find a little strange. It sounds fine to me.

Trying to support locally I found (via Google) a piano tuner that was rught around the corner from me. He was very responsive with phone calls. Answered all my questions (being a piano navist) was punctual and made the pian sound better than it has in years. Kirk was also able to get me exact replica replacement knobs for the lid of the piano.

The work went very well! Kirk was prompt in responding, and did a great job. He was a pleasure to work with and we'll definitely have him service our piano from now on.

I left a message. My call was returned within a few hours on the same day. The work was scheduled and completed the next day.

Kirk showed up on time, did a complete check of the piano and tuned it up.

Mr. Hughes was very good. I called him, and he set an appointment within the week, came on time, and went right to work. The piano had not been tuned in at least 5 years, but he was able to do a very good job in less than an hour. He was also very pleasant.

Kirk responded to my phone message within 15 minutes. He arrived promptly for the appt. Our piano came with the house and likely had not been tuned in at least 20 years. Kirk did a thorough assessment and took care in showing me the innards of the piano and explaining the structure, which I'm not knowledgeable about. He explained what it would take to bring the piano to a reasonable level. For our purposes, mostly being used by my child, a series of two tunings would do it; if we wanted it closer to pitch perfect, then an initial series of 4 tunings would be needed. Kirk explained the work as he went, was very thorough, friendly, and professional. We set up a second appt. Would definitely recommend him.

I have been using Kirk to tune my piano for over 10 years. It's very easy to arrange a time with him and if the piano isn't too much out of tune he discounts his price a little. The piano sound great after he leaves.
