Dream Kitchens & Baths by Nelson

This job started on 10/9/18 which was supposed to be completed within 1 week ended up taking 3 months for a very small job. There were so many problems and I would never recommend this contractor to anyone. There was little to no supervision of the sub-contractors to ensure they are doing quality work and the major issues were: Using plaster instead of mortar per product installation guide on the cement board seams Not using cement board in the niche and attaching tiles to my closet sheetrock wall Installing chipped tiles Stained ceiling from grout (Note: ceiling had to be painted to fix) Showerhead set up that I should have been advised was not a good fit for my shower as in order to have water hit you was to stand against far wall Leaky shower parts connections (installed by non-plumbers) and the shower arm is not tight and is moving (Note: leaky shower parts address, but all parts were gouged by tools used, while owner supervised worker) Shower door not completely closing due to unlevel tile wall installation (Note: shower door issue was corrected)

We very much enjoyed working with Nelson and his team! We knew going in that we were working with a new designer, but enjoyed being part of the mentoring that was taking place. Our designer offered some great suggestions, and worked with us to make things fit when I insisted on having a double sink, and when I decided against a cabinet that I initially thought I wanted. They kept us within our price range, and offered creative suggestions throughout the process. Our installers were very nice, and did a good job overall. This was a big project, (for us anyway) and we had to work within the constraints of other contractors. Dream Kitchens and Bath always worked through any scheduling issues, and when we weren't completely satisfied with the work, they immediately set about to try to fix it. We did compromise on some solutions, but overall, we are very very happy with the end result and would definitely work with team again!

We were trying to work in a budget and they have actually gotten up one unit for a few months ago, it worked fine. We got the tub, the shower, the fixtures, counter top and bathroom counters and I thought their prices were reasonable. I work with them to make sure that we got what we needed and when is the best time to order and everything to be sure it came in time with work we have to do.

This job went very badly.  The people they hired were new and they helped themselves to our keys and let themselves into our garage without permission.  They destroyed our bathtub which was not being replaced and did not try to take any measures to protect it (we have photos).  When we hired them we were told it would take 2 to 3 days and it took 6 weeks.  The guys originally doing the work were taken off the job and eventually - 6 weeks later - we got a very professional man who fixed everything and now we like it.  They only paid 1/2 to repair the tub even though we have photos of them not even trying to protect it from damage.  I am not satisfied but felt that I'd rather be done with the process than try to fight with people to get them to do what is right.
