Simpson Brothers Moving

I have used Simpson Brothers for many moves over 25+ years and to me they are the best in the business. They have not broken one dish or damaged one piece of furniture ever. Their prices are the most reasonable to be found for the quality of service provided. They also still maintain a storage warehouse which few movers offer.

Job went very well. Their truck was packed professionally with minimal involvement from us. There were a lot of items of unusual size which were accommodated. We wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

All in all my experience with Simpson Brothers was great. At first I was worried because it took a couple of calls to get a call back from them. I made an appointment to have someone come out and give me an estimate and Paul Senior was very good about calling me when he thought he may be just a little bit late. I was told I would get the estimate by the next day and it did take a few days for him to get back to me however from that point on all went smoothly. They called to verify a few days before the move, arrived just when they said they would, and the got to work quickly on the packing. During this time they were polite and approachable. They met my husband up at our home in NH and not only did they have to move furniture and boxes into our home, but due to the fact that we will be remodeling, they also had to travel with the remaining cargo (which they had organized accordingly while loading the truck) to a rental unit a good half hour away.
It was a full day of work. Some of the furniture had been previously removed but a lot of the dishes and things in drawers and closets had to be packed. So at $1300.00 and with the distance and more than one destination, I felt that we received a fair price for their services. I would definitely recommend this family run business to anyone who is looking for a mover.

The crew worked efficiently and professionally.. Although the start time was delayed slightly due to weather, we were kept well informed. Not a single item was lost or damaged. Pricing was fair, and very competitive with other quotes. 

The whole move went very smoothly as several family members were present at both ends of the move who knew what they were doing. We had boxed up most of the small items and the Simpsons did an excellent in wrapping up the larger pieces in heavy protective pads.A family heirloom was treated with great care and arrived in perfect condition. The hardware for this piece was taped together and securely taped underneath so it wouldn't get lost.
We were amazed at the speed and efficiency of the crews and pleased that they asked questions as they proceeded to load and unload. They made the daunting task of moving much easier. I strongly recommend them.

These guys did a great job! They moved me from a 2 bedroom apartment to a much larger home in Newburyport. While the apartment building had an elevator, the house I purchased in Newburyport has 3 floors with 2 flights of stairs. These guys broke down my furniture, wrapped it and set it back up in the new house scaling the stairs with ease and taking my large king sized bed up 2 flights of stairs. Everything was perfect--not a scratch on anything! In addition to being some of the best movers I've ever used, they were professional, polite and on time. Hopefully I will not need movers again soon, but if I do, I'll call Paul.

These guys were excellent! They were on time and moved our furniture from the upstairs bedrooms and office to the basement and living room so we install new wood floors in those rooms. They were very quick and it took much less time than expected. They were also very understanding and accommodating when we needed to re-schedule our move back to the upper rooms on short notice when the floors were not completely dry.

It went wonderfully. They were on time and I felt comfortable with them in my home. I was prepared to have a box of coffee and water for them and they didn't even want me to bother. They brought their own lunch in their van. They went a half hour over the quoted time and didn't charge me for the extra time. I would recommend them.

We used Simpson Bros. Moving and Storage, Lawrence, MA; Paul Simpson and his sons twice to move in the past and recommended to several people that's how good they were. Overall AAA service. Even though they are far from metro Boston area we chose them over others because the owner does the work, nice friendly personality and price. Price both times was fair for all the work they did. Their attention to detail taking apart furniture, wrapping furniture and pieces and assembling the furniture necessary to move was great. Both moves we did all the packing and moved ourselves delicate items. Simpson Bros. moved all the big furniture, lots of boxes, big stuff for us. The last move was extremely stressful since it was to be done 12/30 and there was lots of snow on the ground. We had both properties shoveled out but there was 30" of snow on the ground so it was still extremely difficult to move down narrow sidewalks and parking. They were conscious of keeping the floors as clean as possible with all the snow, slush and dirt from moving. We put down heavy duty brown paper rolls where ever we would walk in the house and stairs before the actual move to try and save our newly done floors. Also, we had them put furniture and boxes in the exact rooms where we wanted them. We had a large parking space shoveled out and we parked in it overnight to hold the spots then used cones. Their total price was very reasonable and we gave cash tips to each since they were so great. They even gave us advice about an outdoor swimming pool that was a new experience to us and moved a motor and pump that was left outside. Price mentioned is a close approximate based on a 2008 move within the same town. Both jobs were 5 rooms and basement storage. We had a friend use them in 2012 and he was also impressed with their service, attention to detail and friendliness. Moving is all about the prep work you do to have a smooth move and reduce your cost.

Well - I'm really pleased and will be using them again in two weeks.
