Ivan Cardenas

Ivan was referred to me through my architect friend who said that he had worked with Ivan --referred to different clients--and that they were all very happy with his work. So I felt comfortable using Ivan to do the work I have listed above. Although I had to wait a bit for him (he was finishing another job), he was well worth the wait. He began by tearing up the bathroom floor and walls, and carefully removing everything so that the place was spotless at night when he left. He had a helper on the tile project, and it went swiftly and was done well. Ivan takes great pride in his work, and wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with the job, so he checked in periodically to make sure. He is accommodating, thoughtful, highly detailed in his work, and meticulous in the way he works. He is also very efficient. Once the tiles were near completion, he worked with the plumber to schedule the pipe and stool replacements, and everything went off without a hitch. Just a continuous flow of work. When it came time to paint, I was informed that he, Ivan, was the one who painted the sanctuary of First Church in Cambridge, Congregational. My (late) husband and I had co-chaired the capital campaign that included the complete refurbishment of many areas of the church. If you would like to see an example of his work, go there and take a look--it is complete eye-candy, filled with colors and exquisitely beautiful! He did not choose the colors, but his application of the paint is simply beautiful. I felt like I was meeting Rembrandt. But Ivan is a very humble man, and took pleasure in my satisfaction with his work. He is also very able to repair anything that needs repairing, can do drywall, install things, and makes excellent suggestions on color and placement. He chose some colors for me and based on what he observed about my house, colors, etc., he made winning selections. I cannot recommend Ivan's work more highly.
