The Cleaning Advantage is locally owned and operated in Bolton, Massachusetts. We are not a franchised cleaning company, however we are similar in the fact that we use comprehensive training of our cleaning teams, conduct background checks, pay taxes, business insurance and are accountable to our staff and clients. Our business is house cleaning, but our product is our SERVICE. We have great employees who take sincere pride in looking after the regular house cleaning needs of our clients. We look for very high standards in our team members, and only the best candidates are selected. Finding and retaining qualified help is a major challenge in the cleaning industry. To combat this problem all of our staff are paid as well or better than entry level Bank Tellers. Along with better than average pay, our staff is treated like family, which creates a loyalty to the company they work for and the clients they serve. We always use the same team to clean your home. The only time you would not see your regular cleaner would be due to sickness or scheduled time off. We are an English speaking company so communication is never an issue. We can always be reached via email or telephone, all calls and emails are returned within minutes, not days. We carry the necessary insurances to cover any type of loss, if something is broken or damaged it will be replaced immediately. The fact that we are a company that has a sizeable staff means we can be flexible. If you need to change your cleaning day or time due to a Holiday Party or Birthday Party, we can accommodate you. If you need something done that does not fall within the realm of housekeeping, we can help you with that too. We are all about servicing you and making your life easier. BBB accredited

They did a great job. Not only vacuuming, changing sheets and all, but also cleaning our stove hood (I helped take it apart), polishing cabinets, and dusting every corner imaginable. We were so pleased, they now come every other week (4 hours) and are flexible to work around our holiday schedule or when we have guests from out of town.

I can't say enough good things about Karen and her team. I started using them in 2011 after I had my first child. At the time, I worked 2 part time jobs and my husband owns a business that he puts in 80 hours a week. For me to spend my free time cleaning and not spending time with my child just didn't seem right. And I can't do it all either. Hiring The Cleaning Advantage was one of the smartest things I have done. I can't imagine not having them around. There is nothing like coming home to a nice clean home. One less thing on my never ending to-do list and one less thing to worry about. My next pregnancy started off really rough and Karen was very accommodating in scheduling around my brutal morning (more like all day) sickness. With my baby coming soon, I had to change the time of my regularly scheduled cleaning, and she again was very gracious and very accommodating. I do want to add that I don't have the biggest house or perhaps the fanciest house, but Brenda and her team always take pride in their work no matter how big or small the job. I am forever grateful that I found them and they have no idea how much I appreciate their work. They have always been on time, very responsive, very accommodating, and a real pleasure to work with.

I hired The Cleaning Advantage for a short-term contract following surgery and this is the best money I could have ever spent.  A & M were prompt, cheerful, and ultra-attentive to the details. I am a picky neatnick, and these ladies were outstanding.  Karen the owner is incredibly responsive by email, first while setting up the service and then checking in to see how the cleaning went.  I really liked using them and am currently searching for a higher-paying job so I can schedule them permanently.

They cleaned the whole condo. They work in tandem and have the routine well coordinated. When they leave the house is as clean as two people can make it in an hour.

Went very poorly.  Team showed up late.  Texted friends instead of working.  Sloppy workmanship.  Spilled solution on floor and put rug over it.  Team didnt work the full amount of time as they were late and there was a hard stop on the part of the homeowner.

They said they wanted to do a good job, but I did not authorize extra time. I kind of felt bait & switched. I paid the extra amount, but was left with a sour taste in my mouth. Too bad, because their work was quite satisfactory.

"I don't see where you had cleaning service on December 17, 2013 with my company. Perhaps you have my company confused with another cleaning company that you have recently used. I do however have you in the system as using an "Angies List Big Deal" in October of 2011 where you paid for 4 hours of cleaning, 2 staff members for two hours. All Big Deal respondents were adivised that the minimum 4 hours of cleaning purchased would more than likley not cover the cleaning of an entire home and you should prioritize what you would like done in the allotted time. It appears you did not read the details of "the deal". Comments such as these are why my company would never in a million years participate in any Angies List Big Deal or any coupon extravaganza such as this again. Merry Christmas!"

This is a tough review for me.  Overall, I was impressed with several aspects of The Cleaning Advantage.  However, the single most important factor ? the actual cleaning ? left me disappointed.

As a busy 2-working parent family with kids, my wife and I decided it was time to get a cleaning service.  After some research and quotes, we chose The Cleaning Advantage.  They responded to my online request for a quote promptly, and offered an estimate without a visitation.  Despite the owner being on vacation, she contacted me directly to schedule the cleaning.  I appreciated the prompt response, liked the ?green cleaning? products, and appreciated that they accept credit cards (including AmEx for larger purchases).  I mentioned the Angie?s List discount, and we agreed to a time and date for a ?deep cleaning? and a recurring bi-weekly cleaning.

On the date of the deep clean, two cleaners came out.  They were very friendly and polite, and worked diligently.  When my wife and I reviewed the cleaning, we were disappointed to see some rather obvious areas clearly missed throughout the house.  Floors were improved, but not immaculate.  Several areas of the master bedroom were untouched, apparently forgotten.  Most blatantly, in the master bathroom, the clear glass shower door remained streaky with water stains, and the outside of the toilet remained uncleaned.  I was disappointed.  I let the owner know of my disappointment when I paid, and she was good enough to send the cleaners back, at no additional charge.

The cleaners came back, apologized profusely, and spent 30 minutes cleaning.  After which, they declared themselves finished, and departed.  Upon my return, I was frustrated to again see uncleaned areas of the bedroom and the bathroom.  I could see improvement ? but blatant areas still remained, including a dirty outside of the toilet. 

Since this appointment, several weeks ago, I have not contacted the cleaners, and they have have not reached out to us.  I simply wasn?t certain ? perhaps my expectations were just too high?  I also hesitated to complain further, as the cleaners were very friendly and professional.

I decided to hire another cleaning company.  It was at this point that I knew that  my expectations were not too high.  My ?new? company has come out, pointed out some of the less obvious spots that were entirely missed (in addition to the obvious ones), and conducted a much deeper, more impressive cleaning.

The most egregious was the large transparent glass door in the master bath shower. It still has water stains and soap scum. A corner of the bedroom was overlooked, as one windowsill remained untouched, a venetian blind was undusted, and there were cobwebs in the corner. The floors, as you mentioned, were swept, but were not thoroughly mopped. I don't want this to be a 'knock' on the cleaners - they were very friendly and accomodating, and I know they worked very hard. But, simply put, the job wasn't completed. Also, regarding the 10 hours of service, there should be a note in our file that we applied an angie's list coupon for 10% off the first cleaning, so I believe the total should be $315, not $350. I'll call you tomorrow with a credit card for services rendered, but we are going to take a little time prior to setting up a regular cleaning to think about our options. Karen was very responsive to initial inquiry and to scheduling all appointments quickly and accommodating my requests for extra cleaning or attention to a particular aspect of cleaning in a given session.  Cleaning staff is friendly, prompt and do a good job.  I am able to bill it to my credit card which is easier than remembering to leave a check.  I am pleased with their service and recommend them to others without reservation!

The Cleaning Advantages came in and cleaned my house top to bottom, i can not recall ever having had a clean house like that. The two young ladies were great with my cats, which is always a concern of mine but w/in a few minutes i had no worries of leaving them with my furries. All my acumulated spiderwebs (high ceilings) are gone, shelves, floors, kickboards are sparkling or as much as an 150 year old house can sparkle. My kitchen is in top shape and I can not wait for them to come back and keep it that way. I consider this one of the best investments I have ever made, nothing better to having a clean house and not needing to feel guilty. I can highly recommend their services!

They did an average job. There were two ladies that came, and it seemed that one worked harder than the other. It also seemed like they tried to stretch the time out as long as possible, since they were getting paid by the hour. It appeared that they just used a check off of a list for the work, versus just cleaning what needs to be done. They did a fine job and they did clean, like they were supposed to.

It was explained to all coupon purchasers,(see email below) that 4 hours of cleaning will more than likely not clean your entire home and it would be necessary to prioritize the rooms of most importance. Your priority was kitchen floor and cabinets, dining room dusting and family room if there was time . We did complete these tasks however it was necessary to go over the time purchased due to the degree of soil/dust build up. Dear Member Thank you for participating in the Angie’s List Big Deal. We look forward to helping you with your house cleaning needs. To ensure an optimum experience it will be necessary to get some information about your home before the cleaning is done. You are paid for 4 labor hours which is two staff members in your home for 2 hours. Please respond back with a list of rooms prioritizing the areas that are most important. In addition to the cleaning being absolutely fantastic, I had an issue where a ceiling fan got broken and the owner, Karen, had that fixed in a flash.  She had me pick out the fan, got an electrician and offered to stay until it was completely installed.  It was just incredibly nice.  She is really accommodating.  The women she hires are treated like regular employees, they have a good wage and are eligible for benefits, and that is really important for me.  She has a great website that explains her business practices.
