"Dear Mr. [Member Name Removed], we're sorry we feel that way. We’d like to clarify that you were not the original customer of EAW, as our contract was with the previous homeowner years ago. Based on our records, it appears that the roof may have been damaged by snow shoveling—a factor that voided the warranty, as any accidental damage would need to be reported directly to us. Additionally, the warranty was not filed by the original homeowner and was not transferred within the 90-day window after the property was sold. Despite this, we did perform repairs at no cost on multiple occasions. However, once we explained that future repairs would require a fee to cover our costs, payment was declined. While we can’t continue to offer free services under these conditions, we wish you the very best."
"Thank you so much for the work and the great review best wishes hope you're enjoying your retirement"
"Hi [Member Name Removed], we are sorry that you feel this was a bad experience. All EAW contracts state added or unforeseen work is cost of materials and labor. While you and your husband were working from home, we showed both of you the extra work and told you there would be a charge. Not once during this process did you lead us to believe that you had a problem with paying the extras. The plan was to dig the sono tubes and use that fill to spread over the concrete steps we broke up and disposed of. Unfortunately, underground was back filled with huge fieldstone (over a 2 tons), so we had to remove all of the fieldstone by hand and pay the dump which was $716.00. We also had to buy fill to cover the front yard as there was none from the sono tubes. We were told that you had matching siding but it was not, so that created more work at our tie in areas as well. The field stone was underground so it was definitely unforeseen all of the extra costs came to $2,300. We felt bad even though we did nothing wrong, so we only charged $1,000 - but you refused to pay that. The [Member Name Removed]'s agreed to pay and when it came time to pay they unfortunately refused. After agreeing to just accept $500, she promised to not put negative reviews. We wish the [Member Name Removed]'s the best in all their endeavors and hope the transition goes smoothly."
"Thank you so much for the great review it truly means a lot to our team. It was a pleasure working with you. Best Wishes Eric"
"ABSOLUTELY 100% FALSE Customer hired a contractor for rear porches looks like he open up the backside of the roof a second contractor was called in to repair the roof. it also looks like a third contractor opened up part of the roof to do some kind of gutter work on the driveway side. This was all done a few years back unbeknownst to me. The warranty states that EAW has to be the one to do any work or repairs on the roof that we warrantied. if I was notified I would have dropped everything and went out there to warranty my roof but being the fourth contractor called to go out there is unacceptable business-wise and warranty wise. No contractor is going to warranty his work when other contractors unbeknownst to him comes in and messes it up. I explained to the customer that my manufacturer would deny her warranty claim because EAW wasn't notified of work being done and she did not have myself or a TPO certified roofing contractor do the repairs. Just for clarification it is a TPO roof not a rubber roof. we've done several jobs for this customer to 100% satisfaction seems she got herself in a pickle this time and is putting it on me I do wish her the best of luck in all her endeavors and hopes she finds a solution to her issues"

"I believed we did a roofing job for you not invisible fence, but thanks for the A's. Eric"
"Thanks so much for using EAW. We've known each other for many years and was so glad you contacted us. Roof looks great in Charcoal Black. Make it a great 2017. Eric"
courteous and professional and did more work than we expected. They worked under winter conditions with cold, darkness, and rain in order to complete job on time.
"Thanks for the great review let us know if there's anything else we can do for you wish you the best in 2016 Eric"
"Thank you for the opportunity to do this wor k with you you are a great customer who emphasized you were willing to pay the price to get it done right the first time as a contractor I greatly appreciate that thanks so much Eric"
First, let me state that the quality of work is outstanding. We had only a very small leak around a vent pipe that Eric himself fixed immediately. Eric is punctual and responds quickly.
If you decide to go with EAW though, I highly recommend getting signed off estimates for everything. We received the first estimate from Eric and chose his company. Then it turned out the estimate was wrong because the guy doing the estimate missed a major point. Then there were the old built in gutters. Eric wanted to be paid hourly and did an initial inspection of the roof saying 'it doesn't seem to be such a big deal'. When they started taking the flashing and siding off, it was a big deal. Eric recommended a different route to save money which we did. It still turned out to be a major project with costs that exceeded the actual roofing cost by far. He had to bring in a local contractor as carpenter because there wasn't one on his crew. His crew is a mixed bag. They worked long hours, but took long breaks. They did quality work, but left their garbage (soda cans, food containers) all over our yard.
There was slate work to be done, just a little, which again was supposed to be done hourly. After finishing the main roof, they never came back to actually do that.
To be fair as well, Eric did give us a discount on the final price because it got so expensive. Other things we thought were included in the estimate, weren't. Read the estimate carefully and make sure it's all there. Our project got more expensive every week.
"[Removed Member Name] suggested the old fashion gutter would have to be completely redone. I walked on it and it felt sturdy to me. I suggested we would only have to repair some areas, I was completely wrong. Once we opened it up we ended up having to completely rebuild it leaving only about 20% of the original wood. This work was 3 stories up 160 linier feet and 3 feet wide and not an easy job. I kept [Removed Member Name] informed as the job went on including the price ( he did not pass this information on to his wife who was upset with the final bill). We did hire the gentlemen who already had done gutter work at the same house, he was experienced and helped out tremendously ( I offered him a full time job). I now have a separate construction crew for this type of work. Some of the small metal roofs on the lower floors were just recently coated and looked great That is why they were not on the proposal or done. The first guy I sent to do the proposal didn't relies it was 3 layers of roof and the bottom one was slate. (We don't like stripping things up until were confident we have the job) With the beautiful yard they have we were forced to manually pick up every piece of shingle / slate and walk it over to the far side of the 3 story roof before dropping to the protective plywood shield we built. I did inform them of this and signed a new contract stating the increase in price and why. The [Removed Member Name] are great people and were great to work with. No one not even us expected the old Victorian to need so much extra work. But it did and I had to charge for it. I felt bad and took off 5k I couldn't have done much more. My conscience is clear although I feel bad the job didn't end on a positive note especially with how everything came out great. I wish the [Removed Member Name] the best in remodeling this old beautiful house and in life. Eric"
"Thanks so much. It was a pleasure working with you both."
We highly recommend him.
"Thanks so much for the positive review it was a pleasure working with you and your husband. Hope all is well."
He maintained contact with us at least twice a day.
His workers were polite, well mannered and worked extremely hard.
The site was left clean and neat each day.
We were very pleased with his work and would definitely recommend him.
The work was done on schedule.
"Thanks again for the great reviews."
You can see the quality of their work; straight lines, no bumps, no globs of any material. The site was left perfectly clean with no leftover containers of any kind.
They also weren't playing music, loud or otherwise, during the installation. The workmen were focused on their work.
I have to say that if someone is looking for temporary or cheap fixes, this company is not for you. If you need the assurance of quality materials and attention to detail, and are willing to pay for them, this is your roofer.
"It's easy to work with a guy like John. He asked for our options and then chose the best way to remedy the situation. He then stepped back and let us do our thing. His roof will last much longer now that we covered the seams with tape. We did a walk through around the building and did some maintenance for looks as well as function. Smooth sailing Thx a lot."
We compromised in the end, and flashing was added. Now we just wait for the next rain and hope for the best.
There are often conflicts when working with a contractor. We understand that, and expected a calm negotiation and to meet in the middle. Given the circumstances, we certainly weren't being unreasonable. In our negotiation with Eric, his position was that we were wrong, he would perhaps do us a favor by adding some flashing, and we were stealing from him by claiming the excess copper left on the site. While I was still negotiating with his deputy and we were about to agree, he had a law firm send us a threatening letter.
I am a contractor, in a different business. I understand the importance of managing clients, and have had my share of difficult clients. We were very good clients, with a legitimate concern, and Eric dealt with us very poorly. I give him credit for having a strong crew, but we would not work with him again.
"A very small portion of the 45k was the problem. All the roof, chimneys, skylights, siding, painting, trim etc. was not an issue and everyone agreed that the work was top notch. The issue with the gutter choice between the k style (normal kind) and the round style (old fashion style) was explained. [Member Name Removed] were having a bit of a disagreement between each other while this was being discussed and later said they don't remember us mention this to them. We had the book open on the table with both styles and did discuss this with them. They chose the old style because there house is older. This style definitely looks better but just doesn't perform as well. WE INSTALLED WHAT THE CUSTOMER REQUESTED PERIOD. When my guys were loading up the remaining copper ( I ordered extra do to it being a 2 week special order copper gutter system) Mrs. Webb told my guys to take it off the truck that it was hers, she paid for it. This was a priced job, not a time and materials. OK Lets resolve the problem. I offered to install custom bent and installed copper flashing to the entire front perimeter of the porch to fix the issue with back splash, plus install 2 copper down spouts out back. This was at a cost to me of $2,100.00 materials labor etc. I told them I wanted them to be 100% happy. I guess they took that as they could push me around. The held over 10k final payment and demanded 10k in extra work ? They wanted us to install most of the remaining copper to there house for free labor and no materials cost. There was a few other things as well. They wanted $3,500.00 off the final bill just because ? They wanted $3,500.00 for the remaining copper to be given back ? Why would I agree to do 10k worth of work for free to receive a 10k final payment ? We asked them repeatedly why, what and when did we do something wrong in order to be treated as they were treating us. We never received a response to this question. Everything was going 100% great until the final payment was do. I was forced to contact my Attorney. I remedied the problem and spent over $3,500.00 to get my final payment and I still received a bad review ? [Member Name Removed] were great customers up until the end. I wish them the best. Eric A. Weaver President of EAW Roofing Inc."
"Thanks so much it was a pleasure working with you. Having work go so smoothly was a great experience. Your personality was in line with mine and my great crew. Wish you the best. Eric A. Weaver President EAW Roofing Inc."
It went very well. The crew he sent was large enough that it was done in 2 days. The men were hardworking and friendly. They did a great job, the roof looks terrific and equally important is that they left my property as clean as they found it when they were through.
"Thanks so much for your kind and honest assessment of my company and crew. Much appreciated. Best of luck Eric A. Weaver"
"Great working with someone who wants it done right the first time. Replacing plywood etc. was the right way to go for a long lasting trouble free roof. The pleasure was ours. Thanks Eric A. Weaver"
