Right Angle Restoration

Mike is very responsive and reliable. We feel very lucky to have connected with him. We know who to call whenever we need/want to have work done. He has such a wide range of skills. He also has a remarkable talent for design decisions, even at times when we struggled to find a solution.

Mike had a planned trip in between, but he made sure that the shower was operable in his absence. I would estimate the project took about 3 weeks, with Mike and his son working as his assistant.  We had a couple of bumps along the way, with materials not being available or not functioning properly which caused some delays.  But Mike made every effort to remedy those issues in a timely manner.

We learned about him from a long time friend of ours- this friend used to be a master cabinet maker and had completely remodeled his own home. He was extremely impressed with Mike's work. So we knew ahead of time that this was the best person we could ever find. I haven't come across anything that he can't do brilliantly. Prior to our first meeting he suggested that i put together a list of everything we wanted to have done, work that we needed done now and other renovations that we plan to do in the future. When he came to the house he went through the list and pretty much did a thorough inspection. He then contacted us with written estimates of everything we planned to do. When he checked our roof we expected bad news because the roof is pretty old. He concluded that there were only a few areas that needed to be addressed. The work was very well priced and we were so relieved to know that the roof will hold up awhile longer! He also rebuilt and capped a damaged chimney. Our son's room has had a crack running across the ceiling that became noticeable about 4 years ago. Over time it started "growing". About 3 years ago I had 2 different contractors look at it. They both came up with different ways to fix the problem but we felt that both solutions they suggested were unsatisfactory; they both claimed that it wasn't possible to fix the problem and end up with a normal looking ceiling. Both contractors estimated the cost to be about $4,000.00. When Mike looked at the situation he knew just what to do, the results were perfect (the best ceiling in the entire house!) and the cost was about 30% lower. I want to clarify that he didn't take any shortcuts to keep the cost down. He corrected the existing structural problem and did an amazing job. He contained the debris and dust to that room. The day he started the work he closed the door to that room and a couple of days later we opened the door and the room was clean and ready. While working on the ceiling there was some down time for "drying" and he used that time to work on the closet remodel and then added the crown molding to our master bedroom. He also noticed a few "fix-it" problems that we were putting off and he took care of it almost as if he was just walking by. I was so impressed with the way he approached each project. He has a very confident and optimistic personality, it was really a pleasure having someone like Mike in our house. We can't wait to have him back to do a bathroom and kitchen remodel. He is the best you could ever hope to find. He provided the highest quality work, came up with creative solutions, was very focused, and a very hard worker. He is super smart, a great person to deal with and ultra reliable.
