Excellent experience!  The owner and salesman were very professional and responsive.  A team of four very polite and competent men came to install the awning.  All our questions were answered, they followed up to make sure everything had gone well, and the product is beautiful and functions well.

We contacted the provider after having talked to a variety of other companies. They came to my property and inspected the site, showed us the options and models and explained the pros and cons of each model and type of awning. We even asked them about models that other companies showed us and they also gave us offers for those as well after explaining any differences among them. They left us brochures with the specific awning models that we decided to consider.
After deciding on the specific model, we called and asked them to do the installation after coming back from vacation. They agreed accommodating our schedule. They showed up on time (with a crew of 3) and completed the installation within an hour as promised. One of the guys explained to me how to maintain it and how to adjust its slope (our awning model had this capability).
Overall a great experience with no issues, no delays and no misunderstandings. I definitely recommend the company to anyone who wants to install awnings in their house.

I am impressed with my experience and wanted to share! Met Mark and Andrea at The Boston Home Show - thought great product and kept their card as I wanted an awning for my home. Tried desperately to go local and spent 6 months trying to pursue. Emailed Dorchester Awning. The very same day Mark was measuring my home, left samples and quote was back to me within 24 hours! Amazing! Andrea followed up and sent additional sample books. No pressure...just there to assist. Such a comfortable approach. I asked Andrea her opinion on a fabric. She didn't want to make the decision for me yet suggested something. I ultimately chose Andrea's suggestion and couldn't be any happier! Installation was quick and easy. LOVE the awning and can't say enough about Mark and Andrea. They are extremely hard working and very professional. I also am having them work on a quote for my office! The order to installation process took about 3 weeks and I would assume this is their busy season. This is a quality piece that I have complete confidence will be around for many years to come. Thank you! PS - if you need to reach someone during off hours, Mark is there! I called to make a payment at 7AM and return a call once after 9PM to leave a message. Hard working and ultimate customer service - goes a long way with me.

We found the work very well done, and the space was left very clean and clear of any clutter. The only hiccup was in the scheduling, the initial appointment was canceled, then when they came the second time they had not done the lettering on the awning. The third time however, was just what we asked for. We are happy with the work and the end product.
The time from the initial order and the work being done was approx 5 weeks.
The customer service was excellent, we had a call back within minutes of any call or email sent to the company. Very professional.

I was very pleased with the service from start to finish. The rep who came to measure my awning advised me that the current frame material was too thin and would not be salvageable to scrape and repaint, without risk of further rusting, etc. They did say they could try it, but it would be less expensive to build a new frame.
So I asked them to build a new frame and they took the old one away for me. It took a few weeks longer than originally estimated, but it was worth the wait since it looks fantastic and matches my neighbor's awnings, which is exactly what I wanted.
I received a few quotes for the work and Dorchester Awning was very competitive. I felt their customer service was superior and every time I've emailed or called, I have received same-day responses. Andrea, the owner, called me personally to make sure I was satisfied.

I had a hard time even finding anyone who handled metal awnings these days. So I was pleased when I found Dorchester Awning. I know I was just one small job, but every single person I spoke to treated me like I was the most important customer in the world. Mark. who came out to measure and discuss the job with me, was prompt and knowledgeable. When they came to install, I was at work, but when I came home, the yard and stairs were pristine, and I had two beautiful new awnings. The price may look a little high, but I decided on a wider awning that covered my stairs as well as the door--great for getting those groceries in on a rainy day.

It was absolutely perfect. The work couldn't have turned out better.
