Andrew did great work with a lot of attention to detail. The masonry work was fantastic, with a lot of tight joints. He was responsive, always on time, and did exactly as discussed and promised. I would definitely recommend Andrew and use him again.
Andrew promptly responded to my request for a quote and provided a written quote that was very close to his verbal estimate. He started the job quite shortly after I accepted the quote and worked tirelessly to complete the job within a few days and within budget. He kept in touch regularly by phone and e-mail with updates about progress and when he would be on site. He has a great attitude and work ethic rarely found in young tradesmen.
I recommend ARM without hesitation or caveats.
Andrew went over the details with me and took the time to look at and advise me on another area of my house that needed repair.
The next day they showed up around noon. They finished dismantling the shed and began work on the concrete. I then got a call from Andrew saying the the crew chief was saying the job was bigger than they thought and they didn't have the right tools. Andrew came over to inspect the job himself about an hour later. He said they would need a larger jackhammer and that it would cost him more money and that he didn't think they'd be able to finish the job that day. I was under a deadline as I had to prepare the site for a new shed, so I offered to increase the amount of the job from $1,000 to $1,200. After that the job seemed to move quickly. Andrew stayed and did much of the work himself using a sledge. They finished the work by 3:30 and cleaned up.
Overall I'm giving them a B rather than a C or D -- even though I was annoyed with the delays and the price change -- because Andrew is a stand up guy and personally delivered on getting the job done. The job was just bigger than they thought and there was a problem with one of the crew, imo. I would use them again but if so I would make sure that Andrew visited the job site first to give an estimate.
"Thank You Member. I enjoyed working with you and look foward to doing business in the future"
