Excellent ! I hired ARM Construction again after they did such an outstanding job building a cover with a hip style roof over my 12' X 12' front porch. This time I had them resurface the entire porch ; top, sides and stairs. The cover over the porch is stunning. All work was done with a permit and passed inspection by Worcester inspectors. The masonary cement work went very well . There was one small section that I had a concern over. Andrew , ( owner) had a mason come back out and resurface the whole top portion . No charge to me. This company not only does excellent quality work, but stands behind their work. I will definately hire them again.

Andrew was recommended to us by another contractor on this list because our kitchen renovation was too small of a project for him. After dealing with two terrible contractors before him, and having a house filled with cabinets in boxes, we were relieved to find that he not only responded to emails/texts, but he did so quickly. Throughout the project, he was thorough, overseeing all of the work his sub-contractors were doing, and did much of the work himself. He's very friendly and always kept us up-to-date by providing updates every day or two. We never felt out of the loop at any point. He was transparent about his costs, they were very reasonable, and he was flexible about a couple of changes we wanted to make to the design. He finished the renovation only a little over what he originally quoted us, mostly because of those requests we added on. We couldn't be happier with the results! I guess the third contractor was the charm! We definitely plan to work with Andrew on all of our future home projects!

Andrew did a number of repair jobs to the foundations and siding of the house, in addition to installing a door and repairing support beams for a balcony. All the jobs exceeded my expectations. He is knowledgeable, an excellent problem solver, explains the problem and the repair, and completes the job within the expected timeframe. Dependable, professional and very sincere.

If I could give ARM Construction higher than a rating of A, I would. From before the project, through the project and after, Andrew and his team were incredibly professional, friendly, hardworking and above all else, responsive to every single one of my questions along the way. I mean hundreds of questions! I never expected to have such an incredible experience with putting on an addition. After meeting with 3 contractors, we were referred to ARM by one of them. He stayed true to his initial quote which was a big concern of mine and was reasonably priced. The GM was on site several of the days of the project, which is rarely seen to happen. He also game me a rough timeframe of when the project would be completed by and they completed it before then, even with a few hiccups along the way. He truly loves his job and it shows. I have been and will continue to HIGHLY recommend ARM Constructions for any type of home project you have in mind! Hands down... the best home project experience I have ever had.

Andrew and his team were awesome! Everyone was polite and professional, and always punctual. The original reason I called was because I created my own disaster by pouring mothballs into chipmunk tunnels alongside my house (creating an awful stink in the house) and dug a hole through the sill of my foundation trying to get them out. This turned into a much bigger project than just mothballs and it was well worth every penny. Andrew called me when he realized the chimney needed rebuilding not just repointing and was fair with pricing. He went the extra mile when I gave him the wrong color paint from the basement to paint my new boards. I found the right can and asked him to redo it and turns out that paint was bad so he had to go get new paint which I'm sure was a pain but he didn't charge me. The only glitch in the process was the custom railings for my front steps took a few weeks longer to install than expected, but they were still done by the original requested deadline. Definitely a great company I would hire again!

It was not a finished project, i.e. Low quality. He put seams in the steps not a full sheet of bluestone. Seam color did not match stone and when he tried to fix, it actually made it worse. In less than a year, stones are cracking, concrete is cracking and the steps look awful. When we went back to Andrew to see if he would do anything, he blamed us (the customer). I gave an email to prove it. He would not come and try to fix and guarantee his work. When he built the side porch, he left a 2 inch gap between porch and the wall. This was a HUGE safety concern and looked terrible. The crazy part was that he thought this was a quality job and a finished project. He did fix before job was done, but not without discussion as he thought that was ok.

iAndrew is great! My long time snow removal guy called me the day before a 2 foot snow storm to tell me he was out of commission. I checked with neighbors for names -- 2 people wouldn't take on a new customer this year, and the 3rd sounded great when he made arrangements to come the next day after the storm. He didn't show up, neither did he answer the phone or call me back. That's when I joined Angies List and found Andrew. Andrew answered his phone the first time I called and agreed to come that day to snow blow my driveway, clean off my car,  and shovel 2 walkways. That was 3 storms ago and he has done an excellent job each storm. He also came to hand shovel the end of the driveway after the town plow made another pass. He answers his phone or returns my call promptly if I need to leave a message.  I trust him to come after each storm and know he will do a good job. He even came one morning at 5 AM so I could get to work that day! His price is higher than I would like, but he did agree to a lower price for smaller storms. He is nearly twice as high as my previous guy, who also used a snow blower, and he is a good deal higher than the guy with a snow plow who didn't show up. I guess this is a case of getting what you pay for -- I appreciate his flexibility on pricing for smaller storms, and I appreciate his reliability, responsiveness, and the good job he does. I will continue to use Andrew for snow removal, and will use him for other work that comes up in the future.

We called on Monday February 16 2015 and we were actually able to speak with Andrew, the owner. As one might expect after the number of snowstorms in the area this winter, he was quite busy but made arrangement to come to our home the very next day.  After juggling his schedule he was able to arrive promptly at 9:00 AM on Tuesday morning February 17, 2015.  An additional worker arrived shortly thereafter.  They managed to complete the first three items on our list of tasks that we needed to have performed and added the removal of the snow from the detached garage.  The cost of 350 dollars was entirely reasonable considering the amount of snow to be removed and the locations.  The crew was polite, neat, professional, prompt, fast and careful with the property.  I will use the service again and can without any reservation recommend ARM Construction of Shrewsbury MA.  Mr. Andrew Mecurio was a pleasure to work with.

It has been very good. We negotiated a cost that depended on the size of the snowfall. So it varied from about $30 to $70. The price was fine because he rated it on the amount of snow removal. I think the cheapest was about $30 and it went to about $50 or $60. For that sort of price he did an excellent job. He was just conscientious and he did everything that I contracted with him. Because he has another job, he came later in the day. He told me that in the beginning and I agreed. I didn't care if he came in at 7 o' clock or mid day. It was excellent. I'm retired, so I didn't have to go running out early in the morning. In my situation, I didn't really care. I had no problem that he would come at 10 or 11 o'clock in the morning sometimes. Occasionally, he came at 8. The quality was excellent too. He did use a machine and then tidied up with hand removal. So he not only did the driveways, he also cleared the porch and two sets of steps going to the house. The responsiveness was very good.

ARM was one of three estimates received, and was competitive price-wise.  Andrew was more communicative and responsive than the others and took extra time to answer our questions.  Andrew also has both masonry and carpentry experience, which was a plus in our case since we knew some wood rot would have to be replaced.  Andrew ripped out old, cracked steps that were improperly flashed (hence the rot) and ripped out the cracked walkway to our front door.  He replaced the steps with bluestone and fieldstone masonry and the walkway with pavers.  He also inspected and repointed our chimney as well as repairing some chipping on the foundation concrete.
Andrew did great work with a lot of attention to detail.  The masonry work was fantastic, with a lot of tight joints.  He was responsive, always on time, and did exactly as discussed and promised.  I would definitely recommend Andrew and use him again.

Andrew is a pleasure to work with. He is extremely responsive, punctual, and meticulous. He removed an existing patio and reused as much material as possible when extending it. He also came up with and executed a design to repair a concrete walkway by blending in pavers to match the patio. He went above and beyond by building a small wall for a raised garden area abutting the patio by using rocks that were on the property. I should mention, too, that he always left the site neat, even in mid-job.

Andrew promptly responded to my request for a quote and provided a written quote that was very close to his verbal estimate. He started the job quite shortly after I accepted the quote and worked tirelessly to complete the job within a few days and within budget. He kept in touch regularly by phone and e-mail with updates about progress and when he would be on site. He has a great attitude and work ethic rarely found in young tradesmen.

I recommend ARM without hesitation or caveats.

Andrew gave me a quote over the phone for removing an old 10x12 tool shed and the concrete pad underneath. He arranged for a crew of two people to be on site on a Thursday morning. The crew leader had a doctor's appointment that morning for a problem with his shoulder, so I waited and waited for them to show up. After several calls to Andrew the crew finally showed up around 4 PM and began work. They were unable to finish the work that evening and left without informing me when they would be back.
The next day they showed up around noon. They finished dismantling the shed and began work on the concrete. I then got a call from Andrew saying the the crew chief was saying the job was bigger than they thought and they didn't have the right tools. Andrew came over to inspect the job himself about an hour later. He said they would need a larger jackhammer and that it would cost him more money and that he didn't think they'd be able to finish the job that day. I was under a deadline as I had to prepare the site for a new shed, so I offered to increase the amount of the job from $1,000 to $1,200. After that the job seemed to move quickly. Andrew stayed and did much of the work himself using a sledge. They finished the work by 3:30 and cleaned up.
Overall I'm giving them a B rather than a C or D -- even though I was annoyed with the delays and the price change -- because Andrew is a stand up guy and personally delivered on getting the job done. The job was just bigger than they thought and there was a problem with one of the crew, imo. I would use them again but if so I would make sure that Andrew visited the job site first to give an estimate.
