Peg fixed it. She investigated thoroughly, finding the sub-circuit that was the problem, and she dealt with the issues so that everything was secure and safe. And best of all, I could turn the power back on -- the firefighters I called when my light started smoking turned off all the electricity. In the dead of winter that is not a very pleasant situation to be in. Later, I had a partial power outage and I called her for advice. She returned my call from the runway, where she was about to go on vacation! Her diagnosis in that situation was correct also (it was a power company issue).

Well. Peg explains things very well and encourages customer to do things themselves if possible or the most efficient way.

Prior to doing the work, Ms. Preble provided an on-site review, advice, and estimate. On the agreed work date, she arrived on time, had the necessary equipment, had cut and painted in advance the wood panel in which the LED fixtures needed to be placed, completed the work in a very timely and accurate fashion, and charged the previously agreed-to cost for the work. She was a pleasure to deal with; was creative in problem solving; and did a neat and careful replacement. We would highly recommend her for your future electrical work.

Peg gave me great advice on what to do with a stove and hood that had been damaged during a fire.  She gave me a reference for a handyman.  I recommend her without reservation.

The job took a long while since Peg was working alone-- she spent about 2 days per condo over the period of a month.  She did an excellent job in my condo (Unit 1, a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit on the first floor), being especially careful about where she drilled into the walls to do the least amount of patch-up work.  As the condo trustee, I can also speak on behalf of the other two units, who were also very pleased with Peg's work.  This was the first thing we had her work on for us, and she became our go-to electrician for any work we needed done in the building.  She is very good at what she does and is honest in her business practices and fair in her pricing/billing.  Peg is very good with communication, but only checks email in the evenings and prefers phone calls throughout the day if necessary.

Peg was great - professional, competent, low-key.  Does not recommend work you don't need.  We have an old house with a hidge-podge of wiring from all eras, including knob and tube.  Needed an electrician that knew how to handle it and wouldn't just recommend rewiring the whole house.  Peg was perfect - she respected that we were trying to preserve/restore, yet advised us when this wouldn't be safe.  Conscientious and thorough - discovered some bits of shoddy work from a previous electrician and
fixed them no charge "because it just bothers me to leave behind things looking like that."  Prompt, professional: calls the night before to confirm next day's appt.  Only downside:  slow turnaround time - we had to wait weeks and weeks (but then again, we weren't an urgent case).   Price seemed highish but fair.  I've paid more for lower quality electrical work (the guy whose mistakes she fixed).  Definitely got our money's worth.
