Obin Electric Co

We had an antiquated main breaker which over time had slowly degraded. It finally burned out far enough that spinning a new fuse in wouldn't make contact. Of course it happened on a Sunday night, and Easter Sunday to boot.
The electrician on call arrived, looked at the issue which was a bit ugly given the age of the main and the fact that only one 120v side of a two fuse 240v panel had been powering our entire house for 100 years.
The over-used side was toast, so he made a jumper from a 10 gauge wire, and pulled power over to the fresh side.
Simple.
The cost was a tough one at $388.00 (hey it was an emergency call) but was worth it to have power restored and to be able to wake up in the morning to normal routine.
The electrician was courteous, and professional. We'd certainly use Obin again, though hopefully not in an emergency situation.

After searching for months to find a company that would replace a broken street light fixture, it finally came down to two companies that were willing to do the work.  Due to the nature of the job, it was too small for the big companies that are equipped with bucket trucks to do this kind of work and it was too big for most of the smaller local companies.  We ended up using Obin Electric because it was the right fit for our HOA.  Ray Obin is a great guy to work with and is very professional.

The work was completed on time and the repairs did not exceed the price quoted and the new street light fixture fits in very well with the existing ones on our street.

Went perfectly. Mr. Obin showed up as expected, was friendly and easy to deal with, did the work smoothly, and left the house spotless.

Most importantly - Ray insisted on installing interconnected smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in my bedroom and for my two children's bedrooms as well as throughout the house. He thought of everything to make our house safe for my family. Awesome work, very particular to detail and our needs!
