The work was done successfully. However, I never heard from Green Mountain Consulting again. He was very busy but he got everything done. The work is done, the problem is gone and I'd like to know what the cost could be so I could pay him, but I never heard from him again. Very strange. He was good at maintaining information and explaining what the problems were and some recommendations that I might use.

I am happy with the results and they were very professional, helpful and respectful with me on the phone. The only strange part was about the billing. They gave me an estimate in the beginning: $125/hour, and that it should take no more than two hours. As the job was taking a lot longer than I expected and they were doing their work remotely, I started worrying that they had spent more than 2 hours. So I made sure to tell them on the phone that if it looked like it would exceed 2 hours they should stop and call me. They agreed, and they said they were very conscious of the time they were spending, it was valuable to them and to me. When I finally got my bill it was 2 months after the service was completed. I was worried that whole time about how much it came to and even contacted them to let them know I hadn't been billed yet. When it finally came electronically, it was with an apology about the delay. Also, the bill came out to be twice as much as it was supposed to be, apparently they spent twice as long as they said they would. So they gave me a courtesy discount for half of it because they had forgotten to call me when they reached the 2 hour mark like they said they would. I have to give them credit for that (they probably knew I wouldn't pay it since I had been so clear), but it makes me wonder, if what they would normally charge (if they'd remembered to call) would have been $600, I might as well go buy a new computer next time. When I saw the bill with the $300 discount I didn't have the nerve to call up and check if they gave me the 10% Angie's List discount that I asked for when I first called.

From the first contact I found everyone in the office to be incredibly kind and professional. Pertinent questions were asked and the solution was determined quickly. Once they determined I it did not require their immediate services I was amazed that they still took the time to recommend resources to solve my problem, and how to follow-up. I am deeply appreciative and highly commend their customer service and honesty. They have generated a loyal customer/promoter.

They charged a rate of $125 per hour and he worked several hours. The price was expensive, but I think it was worth. I was just disappointed with all long it took. I would definitely use them again based on the quality of work. He did not stop until everything was set up and working properly.

Brett was great. From the first phone call I made he was friendly and encouraging about being able to recover our data, even though another place had thrown up its hands after a week. We brought the computer to him the next morning (a Tuesday), and by late afternoon he called to let us know that he would be able to recover the data. The following day, he did all the recovery, and with our approval, replaced the hard drive and upgraded the memory. We were able to pick it up on Thursday morning. We were really impressed, and felt confident all along that Brett really knew his stuff. He gave us helpful advice about which virus protection to use, and about an automatic back up service. When we got the computer back to our house, he very willingly helped us over the phone to get it reconnected and set up. It runs great now, it's like having a new computer (except with all our old data)! He also will monitor the computer remotely, and let us know if it starts to act up again.

My hard drive failed on a Saturday. Brett actually answered his phone personally (very rare these days) and told me what to bring to him on Monday, PC, software installation discs. Brett was eventually able to recover almost all my data from my hard drive after many attempts. He installed two new hard drives at my request, cleaned up some useless files and programs, and set up an automatic nightly backup. I had forgotten to bring my Microsoft Office disc, so I installed it when I got home. This caused the PC to start freezing. Brett logged into my machine remotely and eventually fixed the problem (at one point he was working on it at 11PM, and when I got up the next morning at 6AM he was working on it again). The problem was an incomplete or mislabeled install disc from Dell. Brett was responsive and helpful through the whole ordeal. I would not hesitate to use his services again. The price was extremely reasonable for what he did, also.

Brett did a fantastic job. Not only did he diagnose and repair the problem, but he kept me informed as to what was happening and what the probable solutions (and expenses) might be. When I picked up the computer, I was unsure of how to reattach my printer and scanner so I ended up calling him AT HOME on a Sunday evening. In spite of the fact that he was already swamped reconfiguring the early Daylight Savings Time programs for his many clients, he couldn't have been nicer or more patient. Brett spent almost an hour on the phone with me making certain everything was up and running correctly and that I was completely comfortable. I will recommend him without reservation.

The new system was ready when promised, and the cost was actually a little less than the estimate. Brett also did a little extra work that was unexpected. There were some difficulties, all due to errors on my part and problems with the old computer. Brett worked closely with me to fix everything, and then followed up by asking how things were going. Please note that the cost above includes $1190 for the computer plus $592 for labor.

I called Green Mountain to ask how much they would charge to fix the problem -- the person on the phone diagnosed my problem (a dying router), gave me the solution (buy a new router) and didn't charge me anything. He even spent a few minute reviewing the different types of routers and telling me which one to buy. Extremely helpful! If I have some larger problem in the future, I will definitely give them a call.

Brett is fantastic! He does the work remotely which is very convenient and is extremely responsive. He made suggestions about having our broadband provider check our connection because it seemed slow to him, and he was right- the modem needed to be replaced. He also suggested a cheap memory upgrade which made a huge difference in performance.

Brett responded almost instantaneously. He fixed everything, explained what had gone wrong in a thorough and easy to understand manner, and referred me to a very good company that could repair my small laptop screen, for a relatively low price. He even fixed some issues that others had tried, but failed to do so in the past. He was always cheerful and went far beyond the work order to add additional safety features. I have referred him to my friends and am intending to use him, whenever I have computer problems or am considering buying new equipment.

Excellent experience. Brett knows his business and really helped me out on a short time frame. Came to my house to pick up the laptop and arranged pick-up at a convenient time for me.
