Mass Energy has a discount heating oil service, of which you were a member, that functions like a buyers club or a co-op. We use buying power of 13,000 members to negotiate lower prices and ensure quality service with local, full-service dealers. Our members on average save 15-30 cents per gallon compared to the Department of Energy Resources' state survey prices. That adds up to savings of $150-$350 each year. We offer complete price transparency. Anyone can can visit our website to see daily prices since 2004 at massenergy.org/heating-oil/historical-prices. We don't claim to always be the cheapest, but our savings claims are true, and we always get you a fair price and full-service. We also act as advocates for our members, going between you and the dealer. We do assign dealers to our members, and we do this in order to get the best cooperation from dealers .We don't give out a list of their names as something they request in the contract. It is a concession we make in order to get our members fair prices. However, we assign you to a dealer based on customer needs, so the more specific you are, the better.
