David R Howell Fine Carpentry

David did an excellent job installing my new kitchen.  He was very detail-oriented, ensuring that the cabinets and countertops were installed correctly in an old building where nothing was square.  He was very easy to communicate with, always returning phone calls promptly and informing me of changes in scheduling.  He also took the time to ask my preferences on how I wanted the job done and made changes to the plan based on my feedback.  When the non-custom cabinets (from Ikea) did not come with the correct height baseboards, he custom cut pieces to fit my sloping floor.  The quality of his work is very high, and he takes the time to do the job right.

We have used David R Howell Fine Carpentry many, many times.  David has done a lot of work on our house.  Any time we need something done, he has been there for us.  He is a perfectionist.  He does really good work.  He is incredible honest.  His work is superior.  It is really great.  He is really bad at estimating though.  That’s not his thing but he is very honest.  He will not charge one more than required.  It’s all labor.  So, the price depends on how long it is going to take them.  He is not cheap.

The project went very well. David always chooses high quality materials, and his workmanship is of the highest quality. He plans well the work carefully, and he's a perfectionist in his execution. He also keeps the work area neat and he cleaned up well every day. He communicated on a daily basis about the work, and he is scrupulously honest about expenses. Choosing David guarantees a high quality job from a master craftsman.

He is a very careful and thoughtful worker. He's particular about what he does. My experience has been an "A".
