 + -1 moreEach first Thursday is a wonderful experience to view and/or purchase original works of art. The last one we attended, we saw two paintings at $300 each and purchased both of them, though we think they were worth much more than that. Beautiful landscapes, masterfully executed. It is great fun the stroll the street, stopping in to sip wine, view art, and meet old and new friends- and discover such a wide range of talent and creativity.
Description of Work: The first Thursday of every month from April through October, 6-8 pm, Centre/South Main Streets sponsors an art stroll through the center of Jamaica Plain. Each business sponsors a different artist and each artist displays his or her work- in bakeries, coffee shops, gift shops, antique shops, restaurants, real estate offices, etc. The businesses provide free wine and cheese or some other refreshments.
