Alcir and his crew were professional, talented, efficient, and responsive. I could not be happier with the job they did repairing water damage and then painting the walls, ceiling, doors and trim in a bedroom. The price was reasonable and completely worth it. Also, this was a smaller job that I couldn't get most contractors to even return my call and Saints Pro Service got right back to me. I will absolutely call them the next time I need work done on my home.

I was a little concerned about hiring a new company -- new to Angie's List -- because there were no reviews available about the quality of their work. The painters (Isaac and Jair) are solid pros and the type of young men you want around. The owner, Alcir Dos Santos, is highly knowledgeable and skilled all-around. He could grow his company as a general contractor. For example, he offered a solution for one problematic area that could not be fixed with a coat of paint: a front hall closet with horse hair plaster walls covered by crumbling and water-stained 1890's wall paper. (The house was built in 1812.) In general, it was not going to be an easy-peasy paint and prime job. The former tenant -- in a marijuana-inspired state, no doubt -- had painted random swathes of dark-colored teal and gray paints on white walls and doors -- and then painted bright white swathes over green trim and the off-white doors. She did not prep any surfaces first and evidently was not prone to dusting, ever. The apartment was a mess and a new tenant was moving in, contingent upon new coat of paint. I contacted six paint companies through Angie's List. Saints Pro Service, Inc., was the first to respond. Only two companies came out to bid. Saints was one of them. Two other companies would bid based on photos and square feet of living area. I sent photos; one got back to me after the paint job was completed; the other went radio silence. Two other companies never responded at all. Chalk it up to time of year: the week before Labor Day. Due to the nature of the job -- paint entire bathroom (ceilings and baseboards), bedroom (including 2 closets), stairwell (ceilings too), front entry hall, and fix interior of front closet -- to be executed within a few days time, I was expecting to pay a premium. The first bid nearly made me choke: The company wanted 2,500 and they could not guarantee they'd get the job done in time. Saints Pro Services was the last company to bid on the job. The owner came into the apartment, did a very thorough inspection, pointed out some issues I'd overlooked or been ignorant of and suggested some solutions. He went home, drew up a bid that night, and emailed it to me. His bid was half of the first one I got, and it included fixing the front hall closet, which was a carpentry job AND he guaranteed his painters would complete the job by deadline. I accepted his bid immediately. That night, after work, he and another worker prepped and patched the walls. The next day, 2 painters arrived early in the morning to start work, and they put in a loooong day. They returned one more day after that to finish up. They completed the job in time. If only I could post a photograph of the look on the new tenant when she saw the place transformed. She was amazed at the difference and was truly delighted with the paint job. I'm delighted too. I plan on hiring Saints Pro Services for all future work on my house, from painting to carpentry. They live up to the name and they deliver!
