The overall house renovation project was supposed to be a 3 to 4 month project but David single handedly doubled the time it took to complete the project. He would not communicate with the general contractor about when he would be there and not commit to any dates. This kind of project takes good coordination so there was no way for the project to move forward with David acting so selfishly and inappropriately throughout. He complained about the custom bath parts involved, that they were non-standard and why did I spend so much money on this "*&(^%"? My general contractor and electrician had to move on to other jobs after leaving David countless voicemails with no response. When he finally came in to do the work, he did a poor job. In the guest bath, the shower head rattles around, he bashed through the wall over aggressively and caused a mess inside the vanity to get the pipes to the sink, and he never put together the parts for the sink properly. In the master bath, he miscalculated the depth of the mixing valve in the shower so it sticks out too far, left the pedestal sink with covers and accent pieces not sealed so they hang loosely and show the plumbing behind, and the toilet was tippy, side to side not set properly on the floor until I had another plumber come in and shim it properly. In the end I haggled with him on the final payment with a long letter and got him to approve a reduction, but it was only a small percentage and didn't make up for the terrible job he did, some of which I still need to fix. Last, his bedside manner is deplorable. He is a bully and uses the fact that you need him to finish the job against you because he has other work and can make you wait without losing any income. Meanwhile, your project sits, stuck in time, and you can't get on with your life and it's incredibly demoralizing to leave voicemails and beg and plead for the work to be completed while this person continues on with what he's doing, no call backs, care or concern whatsoever for the situation he has caused. I can't caution you more strongly or emphasize with you enough that you should avoid working with this person at all costs.

Excellent work by a professional guy. He wants to get things right even when there's a much easier way.
