STAY AWAY from the following companies: Boston Stair LLC, Curvoflite Stairs and Millwork Inc, and Boston Stair Design Corp. They are all owned by Mary Mazzeo, and it was our biggest regret to have purchased a 5ft wooden spiral staircase from her, who falsely advertised herself as a manufacturer with 30+ year experience in the business. The stair was contracted to be partially assembled with the center post, all treads, and stringer to be delivered as one piece, but she tried to have us accepting a completely unassembled stair kit a day before the delivery despite the 2-week delay. We later found out that the actual manufacturer, who she ordered the stair from, only sold stair kits, and she has been in business with for over 4 years. Mary Mazzeo knew from the beginning that she had us paid 10K for a 5K stair kit, but she claimed she didn't know. She requested us to have our carpenter finishing what it was on the contract, and she also forced us to hire 6 people to load off from the delivery truck because she told us that the driver would not carry the stair into the house! Before the delivery, Mazzeo sent us a picture of the stair that she hired a guy to assemble, but it showed that the stair was done in a residential garage without even enough headroom to stand the stair up, and the stair was put together laid down sideway. When the stair arrived, it had missing and incorrect size parts, but the worst is that it squeaked like an old stair when walking on. We tried asking the guy she hired to fix the problem, but Mazzeo refused to be responsible for, and we are currently in a progress of suing her and got stuck with a stair that couldn't be walked on! Final words, Mary Mazzeo is a person who is full of lies, irresponsible, lack of knowledge, and the worst sales/dealer we have ever encountered.
