I left this year due to their excessively high prices on supplies and equipment. I'd always been puzzled by their prices on supplies and a bit shocked by their equipment prices. This year I could no longer ignore the difference between American and other pool service companies. When I needed a new filter, American Pool charged $2200 for a unit I could buy online for $900 or in a retail store for $1200 including installation. Since I needed other parts last summer, I began to buy them at Aquacraft Pools on Route One in Peabody and it made sense to transfer all my pool business to Aquacraft. Unlike my experience with American over the past couple of years, Aquacraft's prices are fair, they also do openings and closings, and their staff are pleasant and professional.

Minor issues with scheduling but we were trying to fit work in at last minute in their busy season. Once scheduled they completed job quickly and professionally. Prior service company took days to complete what these guys could do in one day. Had a strong grasp of how to get job done and dealt with issues promptly.

They have essentially replaced the pool that was here and put in a new system. They are very reliable, they come on the agreed upon day, and they come in and out without leaving a mess. They are responsive to our concerns. We have never had any problems with them. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

They are punctual and professional, but very expensive for work done. They charge you for everything. Your pool cover has to be clear of all leaves and water for opening or there is a $100 fee. All chemicals are extra. Their service for opening and closing is through, but not worth the price.
