I broke my arm and needed help connecting new wireless keyboard & mouse and color printer. Hardware connections are fine. Software is a mess. Links no longer work. Internet history no longer shows and I must type every web address; I tried resetting internet Tools Options back to default settings, but the problem persists. Pop-up on PCMAG.COM website complains "not responding due to a long-running script". I used this site for years without this problem. Installed McAfee antivirus without asking. I use and prefer Norton, and have deleted McAfee to prevent conflicts. Every time I access my e-mail page, an undeletable message appears, "Do you want to open or save ... (uncopyable jargon)?" Error message: "Device driver software was not successfully installed." (What device?) USB drive gives error message "USB device not recognized" when I insert flash drive. He created new directory for my photos, but numbers have replaced titles. I mentioned that I had saved an old hard drive which crashed, and he volunteered to try to recover the data, which another repairperson said was unrecoverable. I requested its return including the neat plastic container which he promised to return in a couple of days. It has been almost a month and he has not called. I called this week and he promised to come yesterday. Left word today, July 18. No response. I cannot remember all the problems but made notes and screenshots of most of them. The internet shows his business at several different addresses with various zip codes in Springfield and in Chicopee, same telephone number. I see that this business has received three negative reports in one year on a couple of web sites. I should have done my homework and checked this business before calling the Seek A Geek number in the Yellow Pages.
Description of Work: Connected wireless keyboard & mouse and color laser printer. Connected external backup hard drive. Copied photos into new directory. Installed free "CCleaner" whatever that is. Installed a software backup which I have deleted.
