"Dear Mrs. [Member Name Removed], I understand that you are feeling frustrated, but I want to address some of the concerns you've raised. We completed the job over three months ago, and it's challenging for us to address issues after such a long time. Additionally, the additional charges were for unexpected and unforeseen damages to your back porch and the agreed-upon upgrades. I want to emphasize that these additional costs were communicated to you and your husband, and you approved them. It's important to note that the work undertaken went beyond simply replacing a piece of plywood; we had to rebuild the entire sidewall due to extensive water and insect damage. Just look under porch. Also, the replacement of the custom bulkhead, the oversized window, and the complete reconstruction of your front steps with a 4-foot landing were all part of the agreed-upon work and according to our calculations, you got a great deal for the cost. For the record I never refused to pull permits, when the building inspector arrived, I had told him that we just completed a window installation and he said we did not need a permit but he said we would need a permit for the stairs in front which I filed, completed, and passed inspection. We had a few hiccups, but we resolved it, and you passed the inspection. I filed a permit for a roofing job right after yours and the building inspector never mentioned anything about your job. Regarding the incident with your daughter, I want to assure you that I always aim to be polite, courteous, and respectful. If there was any misunderstanding or inconvenience, I sincerely apologize. I hope we can come to a resolution that satisfies both parties. Thank you for your understanding."
