The house was a bit of a challenges because there were multiple woods (oak, maple, and pine). Getting a stain to match across all these woods wasn't easy. We were also between a few colors, so it was hard to decide. Anh was very accommodating and gave us samples from the workshop as a starting point. We got a shortlist from that, which he then put as samples on the floor so we could really see what it would look like. We made lots of iterations which he was happy to do. The crew finished the work in less than a week. They were prompt and available when promised. Every day they cleaned up their work. In short, we're very happy with the results. Anh was also one of the more reasonable quotes from the list of 4 that we received (his quote was clear/concise and prompt). He was also a referral from a friend, so that made our choice even easier.

The house was unoccupied at the time of the work. They strengthened the sub floor which eliminated the creaking that I had noticed when we were buying the house. They were very tidy. The finished work was perfect. I will hire them again.

Anh's crew was working as a subcontractor on our kitchen remodeling project, so we did not negotiate price or schedule with him directly. They did start one day later than scheduled, but the delay had minimal impact. Once on site, they got right to work. Our house is over 100 years old, with floors that have some pretty impressive slopes; in one place, the floor drops over an inch within a 6 foot span. They did some shimming to mitigate this a bit. They laid the new oak flooring and did a very good job; even with the wavy subfloor, the boards are very tight. They took four days to install, sand and finish/refinish floors in four rooms. They sanded between coats of urethane. At the end of the job, the floors looked beautiful. Upon close inspection, we did discover a few small blemishes, places where the polyurethane bubbles did not burst. Anh himself came over to the house and did the touch up, as well as patching some gaps where the new baseboards did not cover as much as the old baseboards did. This did take some weeks to schedule, he is very busy. Anh is a very friendly, cordial guy. He told us how to care for our new floors and explained everything he did. We are very pleased with his work.

Wonderful! Anh saved us! They fortunately had a small window of time exactly when I called and were able to fit us in. We were in need of someone immediately and so they really saved us! There is nothing easy about the work these guys do. This is extremely labor-some work. So, for that, along with the results they provide, in the timeframe they provide it, they are more than reasonably priced. They sanded, stained, sealed, and polyurethaned our existing hardwood floors in our entire house which consists of about 1600 square feet ( 3 bedrooms with closets, living room, family room, large kitchen, hallways, plus two staircases in five days. Our floors are BEAUTIFUL! We are so pleased. We love them! And we are so happy we hired Anh from Floor Sanding of Mass. Thank you Anh and thank you to your crew!

Second time we used them and the job couldn't have gone better.  Were in and out in 4 days, the job was spectacular, the price was $1,500 less than pre-finished flooring from a national flooring chain and Ahn's workers were fast, polite and finished ahead of schedule.  Wonderful company, wonderful workers.

They did an outstanding job !!! The sanding was expert and smooth and flat and they did not leave any divots. They sanded around all the edges including under the baseboard heaters. They had to replace some floorboards because of water damage and they did an excellent job there as well. They stained the floor and applied three coats of polyethylene and used respected quality brands for both. The floors look beautiful !!! This is the third time I have used them. They were very competitively priced. Previously I had used them to put down a complete hardwood floor in my family room. Was just as pleased then. I would recommend them without any reservation.  For the value they provide, they are in my opinion, the best contractor I have ever employed.

Floor Sanding of Massachusetts installed hardwood flooring in my family room, replacing a carpet. They did an excellent job. This was the third job they did on my house. They were precise and meticulous in making sure of all hardwood flooring alignment and fit and worked towards details and quality, rather than the clock. This was especially true around the corners and the baseboard heating, the doors and the fireplace. They were extremely professional. I got the best quality hardwood that I asked for. I would recommend them without any reservation. I plan on using them again.

Anh and his crew were great. They started and finished right when they said they would, working over the weekend to do so. They matched the new stain to the old floors perfectly, and everything looks great. The crew was professional and even helped us move some heavy items into the garage while they were there. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

Had a little trouble getting in contact at first, but once we did everything went smoothly. They were able to come to give a timely estimate and squeeze us in before we moved in to our new home. Despite some humidity making the drying process slower, they were still able to get it done in a timely manner. Everyone was professional and the floors came out gorgeous. They did a good job of sealing off the parts of the house that weren't done so sawdust didn't leak. They did a great job of cleanup as well.

Great work. The workers missed a few very minor details. I'm sure they would have corrected them if we had catched them on time.

This is the second time we have used this company. Three years ago they refinished hardwood floors in three rooms on the first floor of our 1914 home. They did such an excellent job we had them back to do the 2nd floor after we ripped up the wall to wall this last fall. They refinished three large bedrooms, a large hall, and a wide oak staircase. They are on time, very clean and the floors are beautiful. Dust is kept to a minimum and they are very careful to seal the work area from the rest of the house. Best of all, they charge a fair and reasonable price and even give a senior citizen discount. We couldn't be more pleased with their work.

We have used Floor Sanding of Mass twice (Anh) to do floors in two condominiums we've bought. Before hiring him, i called four or five people whose floors he had recently finished. He was very patient with us, and all the work was really top-notch, finished in less time than he quoted. We will use him again soon. The only problem is finding avialability.

The owner, Anh, was very nice and responsive. He gave his estimate over the phone based on my description of the size of the unit and current condition of the floors. As a working mom, this was so much more helpful than letting him in before getting an estimate. He was able to start the job almost immediately, and he and his staff seemed very friendly and trustworthy. We asked him to remove our appliances to finish the floor beneath them, and he did so without added to the original estimate. We gave them a key and they let themselves in and out during the week. The work began on a Tuesday and we were able to re-enter our place on Saturday. The best part...the results FAR exceeded our expectations!

Came and gave a slightly below average estimate on about a 1000 sq. ft. job. Work was done on time and as described. I'm very pleased.

First the good. Dealing with Anh, who I believe is the owner was a pleasure. He's a soft spoken man and knows his trade. They did an excellent job matching the new floor to the existing flooring. Now the downside. There was some trouble getting them to start the job because of some "big job" they were finishing. Not a big deal to us because we were self renovating and not living there, but could have been a big problem. We ended up giving them a key so that we didn't have to wait for them. The kitchen wall was damaged during the install because they ripped a baseboard off without running a razor down the top thereby tearing the paper off of the sheetrock. A minor repair, but unnecessary. The framing was knocked askew on a pocket door that no longer works smoothly. This would be a BIG deal except that we don't use the door. Also, the marble threshold leading to a half bath was cracked. As for the floor refinishing, they missed a landing area leading to the stairs which they had agreed to do, polyurethane was splashed on terracotta tiles that form a hearth, and it's hard to believe that they couldn't have held the dust down a bit more than they did. It was thick and EVERYWHERE!! In spite of all this, the price was very good and he discounted $80.00 for the damage and missed spot, which wasn't enough, but we didn't push it because we're do-it-yourselfers and fixed the items quickly. Also, I would use them again, but demand that Anh keep a closer eye on the crew or I would.

Anh was right on time for all appointments, easy to work with, and explained the process and our options. He was particularly concerned about one area that was stained from previous owner's pets and offered several different routes to take if we wanted to blend or bleach the stain.

We got lots of different advice about the ugly pealing paint on our deck. Some said that the pressure treated lumber would never hold paint; others said we could sand and then stain; yet others said to power wash, scrape it and plan to do it again EVERY YEAR. We eventually realized that the last contractor had painted over a stain and that created the mess. Two contractors said to replace the deck flooring and rail cap at substantial expense. Two painters who recommended sanding to bare wood and then staining were unwilling to bid on the sanding as "too labor intensive." So we started calling floor sanders and found this terrific little company. They sanded the deck and cap down to bare wood and stained it. When the first coat looked too thin and transparent, they went back to the paint store, got more pigment added to the stain and put on a second coat. The deck looks like new and should stay that way for a few seasons. We can even touch up the stain each year or in spots and it doesn't show. All this cost half as much as replacing the deck floor and significantly less then hiring most sanders and painters to do their separate jobs.

I think Anh Nguyen is a trustworthy, honest businessman. He responded quickly to my request for an estimate, and he did a great job at following up while the work was going on and making sure I was happy. Due to the construction that had just occurred, a portion of the oak floor had been cut up and replaced (kind of haphazardly) by the contractor. Anh's guys repatched the oak in for me and it looked like it had always been there.
