Description of Work: This is the second time we've use Arborway. When we first moved in they pruned a number of trees on our property. This time, they cut back our large maple tree and gave us advice about a few more on our property. They supplied estimates and did the work without requiring us to be present which is very convenient. The only reason I am checking "N/A" on price is because I didn't get other quotes so I can't benchmark the cost.

Description of Work: I called and asked for an estimate on some work. I am a returning customer. I was told the arborist would come to the house and an estimate would subsequently be sent. I called back two weeks later to see about the estimate. I was told I would have it by the end of the week. I never received it. Will take my business elsewhere.

ALTHOUGH IT WAS HARD GETTING A RESPONSE FROM THEM AT FIRST, ONCE AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE THEY ARRIVED ON TIME AND WORKED VERY QUICKLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. THEY DID THE ESTIMATE WHEN I WAS NOT AT HOME, I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO DISCUSS THE WORK AND ASK SOME ADVICE, BUT SINCE THIS WORK WAS PRETTY SIMPLE IT WORKED OUT WELL IN THE END.
Description of Work: TOOK DOWN AND REMOVED DEAD TREE, PRUNED BACK BRANCHES FROM TWO TREES OVER HANGING HOUSE.

WE KEEP DETAILED, DATED RECORDS OF EVERY CUSTOMER CONTACT THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF OUR JOBS, AND THIS CLIENT’S COMPLAINTS ARE NOT BORNE OUT BY THE FACTS. SHE CALLED TO REQUEST AN ESTIMATE ON 9/25/03. SHE RECEIVED HER ESTIMATE ON 10/1/03. OUR OFFICE RECEIVED THE SIGNED CONTRACT BACK FROM HER IN THE MAIL ON 10/16/03. IT’S HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHY A CUSTOMER WOULD RATE THIS A C FOR RESPONSIVENESS, OR WOULD SAY “IT WAS HARD GETTING A RESPONSE FROM THEM AT FIRST.” SHE COMPLAINS THAT WE DID THE ESTIMATE WHEN SHE WAS NOT AT HOME. OUR LONG-STANDING POLICY, WHICH OUR CLIENTS APPRECIATE BECAUSE IT SAVES THEM TIME AND TROUBLE AND IT’S THE QUICKEST WAY TO GET AN ESTIMATE, IS TO GET A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OVER THE PHONE SO THEY DON’T NEED TO MEET WITH OUR ESTIMATOR ON THE PROPERTY. WE ALSO SCHEDULE MEETINGS WITH CUSTOMERS WHO WOULD PREFER TO MEET WITH OUR ESTIMATOR, AN OPTION WHICH THIS CLIENT DID NOT SELECT. THE C IS NOT A LEGITIMATE RATING FOR THE PRICE. SHE WAS FREE TO HIRE ANY COMPANY SHE WANTED. SHE CHOSE TO HIRE US FOR OUR QUOTED PRICE, SHE WAS PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORK, AND SHE WAS BILLED FOR NO MORE THAN THE ORIGINALLY QUOTED PRICE. THEN SHE DECIDES, AFTER THE FACT, THAT THE PRICE SHE AGREED TO OF HER OWN FREE WILL WAS TOO HIGH AND GIVES US A LOW RATING FOR PRICE?

THE REMOVAL WAS TRICKY WORK BUT THEY DID IT CLEANLY AND SAFELY IN TWO DAYS, AND CLEANED UP THE YARD AFTER THEY WERE DONE. RESPONSIVE AND PROFESSIONAL ON ALL LEVELS, AND THEY WERE HERE EXACTLY WHEN THEY SAID THEY'D BE.
