I was only able to afford to do one side of the house this year, but I look forward to having Brad and his team out to finish the job! It is not always easy to find good contractors, but you would do well to hire Sprinkle.
"Thank you {Member name removed}, it was a pleasure working with you as well!"
"Thank you (Member Name Removed). We appreciate your review!"
"Thank you for the kind words. We enjoyed working with you and Member as well. Thank you for your business and we wish you a very Merry Christmas!"
As you will see I have had to have the bathroom floor taken up.
As you know we spoke and met a few times over the
poor work performed by your employees (poor sanding, poor and chipped painting,
paint on the floor, cabinets not closing, communications, etc., etc.) You even
commented the work was poor and not up to your standards. You also said that
Bob should have given us a choice when something was different from the norm.
About a month ago the bathtub and sink would not
drain, despite several efforts to unclog the pipes with Liquid Plumber. I
called in the plumber that has taken care of my home for over 30 years. He tried
different things but his attempts were unsuccessful and he had to get at the
pipes under the floor.
At that point I asked him if the previous contractor
should have noticed a problem with the pipes before the floor was put down. He
told me not necessarily but would not know for sure until the floor was taken
up.
Early this week the floor was removed as you can
see by the pictures, and to my disappointment again your employees should have
noticed the very worn, damaged pipes. According to my plumber we have the old
galvanized pipes that are never used anymore because of corrosion, and it was
just a matter of time before they would give out. As far as I am concerned your
employees should have brought this to your attention so I would have had the
opportunity to fix the pipes at that point prior to laying the new floor tiles.
Brad, I hired you, not your employees or sub-contractors.
Unfortunately your employees represent you and
they have failed. They did an incredibly poor job and I still have multiple issues
beside the situation with the pipes. I am enclosing additional photographs
taken this weekend that show chipped and peeling paint, cracked grouting around
the tub area, grouting chipping away from where it meets the hall floor and the
results of the towel bar falling off the wall. For this kind of work I have
bills totaling $8059.27 from your company alone. I have no idea what I am going
to incur from the plumber and the new contractor who will be putting down the
floor tiles for a second time, but it’s going to be expensive and doesn’t even
address the issues of the paint and grouting.
"We were disappointed that Member would want to write a review of this nature two years after this project was completed. We were instructed by Member and his partner that they needed this to be done on a budget and that they understood this would not be a full bathroom remodel but just a “light make over”. We even agreed to a payment plan to help with their cash flow which we do not normally do. The contract did not include removal of the subfloor so we never had a view of the old pipes. In addition neither Member nor another person mentioned any problems with plumbing in the floor only in the tub area which was opened inspected and replaced. We were contracted to paint the bathroom and ran into some problems with the paint adhering. We brought a sample to a paint expert to find out why. We were informed that due to the age of the home that the paint had a reaction with the old paint and there was a bonding problem. At an additional cost to Sprinkle Home Improvement, we agreed to come back and prep as advised by the paint expert and repaint even though we had not budgeted for this. Brad Sprinkle personally met with Member and another person and they agreed to what we could do to satisfy their concerns. We came to an agreement and completed the work, as agreed, in a timely manner at no additional cost."
