The build itself went fine.  They also were very good about replacing windows that  the seal did not hold up.  However, after 10 years, the roof shingles that Harvey guaranteed for life have started to disintegrate.  They are literally curing up and shedding.  We sweep them off of our deck.  When we approached Harvey, they took no responsibility and sent us to the manufacturer, BP of Canada.  We never heard of BP of Canada until we had to take a shingle down for a sample of the problem.  BP of Canada also refuses to take responsibility.  We have had two estimates done to replace our "lifetime guaranteed" roof.  Both of these companies quoted us $25,000.00.

We did business with Harvey Industries.  It was their decision to sourse the product from BP of Canada.  The product has since been discontinued by Harvey.  

It was suggested to us that the installation was faulty, and we should have a certified building inspector look at the roof.  We had the buuilding inspector from the town look at the problem.  He assured us that the installation was done properly and that it was the product that is faulty.

In the future, I would question any "lifetime guarantee"  (who's lifetime?) abd get in writing what is behind it.  I woould never trust Harvey Industries.  They have not stood behind the product they provided.
