The crew was polite, professional, hard working and very accommodating with moving boxes and furniture into new home. Very satisfied with the service provided .

I had contracted with this company to move us to the midwest. The estimator called us a week before the move to tell us that they couldn't get a truck. We went into panic mode because our house was sold and we HAD to vacate. Luckily, they were able to arrange for a truck when we scheduled and things were back on track. When the packers arrived the day before the moving van, they didn't have enough people to complete the pack in one day. Consequently, when the truck arrived they were still packing our things. The packing crew friendly but too familiar. The lead man was totally obnoxious asking personal questions and he even went into our refrigerator (without asking!!) and ate some of our food as if it were his own. Totally unprofessional. On the good side, the truck driver was completely professional and did everything to accommodate us. He went out of his way to make things right. As it goes with Allied movers, the drivers are graded on the move and their bonus compensation is based upon our satisfaction of the entire move. Consequently, we did not want to penalize the driver for the incompetence of Eldridge and Bourne and we gave him a good rating. It is now months later and we still can't find many items that were to be shipped. The packers took everything apart and damaged many items which we had to throw out. If I had to do this again, I wouldn't use these people again.

The estimator was punctual, thorough, professional and very friendly and as a representative of the company he had no bearing on our decision to use another mover. Eldredge and Bourne came recommended however the bid for our move came in 40% higher than the next highest price. The cost for climate controlled storage was also significantly higher than the other two companies we called for estimates. The estimator did follow up with a very nice personal letter but due to their vastly higher quote we decided to use a different company.

They were prompt, courteous, and very careful.

They were great in doing everything in a very professional way. Everything was transported safely and my precious books were well treated. They managed to organize everything very well, including access to Nantucket Island, which is not always easy to do.
