This overall rating is an average of a number of factors. On the one hand, the installer of the new opener unit seemed to know what he was doing but in all other aspects, I would rate the company at 1 star. He committed to $899 "TOTAL" (which for replacing a $200 part in 45 min is itself an outrageous price) but then he asked to be paid by Venmo or pay an extra $60 for taxes (and taxes are not paid on labor, by the way). I didn't want to pay by Venmo because there is no traceability, but I didn't want to pay an extra $60 either. He sent me a receipt by email but it had no reference to the name of the company or an address or a name of a person. It also said I had a 7-year warranty (with no backup whatsoever) so I called LiftMaster support and found out the warranty is one year, with the motor at 4 years. Every communication from him came from a different phone number. All in all, I have no confidence in the integrity of this business. He told me his name is Alon Biton and his company is located in Hyannis, MA. Try finding it on Google or other usual places and there is no AB Garage Door LLC anywhere I could find. I checked his reviews (only 8, all 5* and all out of state). Bottom line: This company does not leave a solid impression, and it does not reflect well on Angie.
