Marvin is friendly, professional, and affordable! We had a number of painters come out to quote this job and Marvin was the most reasonable. The work he and his guys did is solid. I would definitely recommend Marvelous Painting and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

Marvin is a nice guy, but when you agree to a job where the customer does not try and negotiate the price at all, the job better be done right the first time. Sadly, this was not our experience. It started with him being late the first day (granted, not by a lot but we were on a very tight time schedule) and continued with him only having a crew of two, when he originally promised a crew of three to four. His workers were pleasant and professional, but a paint color screw up was never resolved to our satisfaction. He blamed the paint color mix up on his paint supplier multiple times and failed to pass on a supposed credit from the paint supplier to us. Lastly, his clean up from the job was lackluster. Admittedly, we hired Marvin at the recommendation of another contractor we were working with and I disregarded the lack of a positive review on Angie's List. I will not make that same mistake twice. Bottomline, I am unable to recommend Marvelous Painting.

DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN! Marvin Brown comes immediately to give you an estimate and says he can do everything and do it the next day. He then wants 1/3 payment upfront. He and his team were ALWAYS late to the job. Does get there when he gets there, he brings highly UNSKILLED workers that cannot speak English. Through the process he badgers them to work faster and badgers you for more money each time he sees you. He tells you to "have faith" that they will get everything done and tries to get full payment before all work is complete and then talks about all he does in the church. He is a CHARLATAN. If you do use him (though I suggest you do not!) DO NOT give him final payment until EVERYTHING is done because he will tell you he will be back and then excuses and unreturned phone calls are all that you get once the check clears.
