+ 1 moreWhen I moved to Hudson 2+ years ago, I contacted Warmer Fuel because the previous owners had used them. (Lots of fuel companies mailed great offers, which I was considering....) I asked them to clean and inspect the furnace. (The home inspection had said all looked fine.) Lo and behold, upon careful inspection, the Warmer guy found that the heat exchanger was cracked and would have been dangerous to keep running. The owner went back and checked his reconds and I was shocked when he called later that day to say a) The furnace was sold to the previous homeowners by them, 19 years ago, b) it was under a 20-year warranty and c) he was arranging for a replacement of the exchanger (which is basically a whole new furnace) and it would be delivered the next day. The next day came and the owner arrived with an assistant and replaced the heat exchanger (and also cleaned out the squirrels' nests they found...) The part was free as was *all* of the service. This is a business owner with integrity. I chose to stay with this company based on that first experience, and I have never regretted it.

Description of Work: They were completely unresponsive. It took a four phone calls over the course of several days to finally receive a call back from the owner (or person in charge) who promised to come to my house the next day to check my setup (I wanted to become a customer of theirs). Never showed up, never called. I finally gave up. Since I joined Angie's List to find a reputable and reliable service provider, this experience has now turned me against using the list. I could do just as well (better!) on my own. I'm cancelling my subscription.
