We just bought a condo in Brookline and needed to do a complete kitchen and half bath remodel.  After hearing many troubling stories from friends and acquaintances I knew I needed a contractor I could TRUST. Arcilio Moura was VERY highly recommended by a good friend of mine who had just finished a double bath remodel. She was thrilled with his work and professionalism and I saw the bathrooms were beautiful. I spoke with others who confirmed that he did beautiful work and was great to work with. His estimate was by far the most reasonable of the quotes I got. And the final bill was very close to it. There were a few unexpected issues that were only apparent after he did the demo, but he was great at keeping the cost down wherever possible. 

The work: demo old kitchen and half bath, install new porcelain tile floor, new cabinets, new appliances and fixtures, granite countertop, backsplash etc. He's a licensed electrician and does the electrical himself. All the people in his crew were pleasant, professional and good about cleaning up after themselves. The work went quite quickly, maybe about 2 weeks? There were some unexpected issues uncovered after the demo and Arcilio was great about finding solutions and moving the work along. He was very responsive whenever I called him and returned calls promptly. He and his team were always there when they said they would be there. He has good design sense too. He was very helpful with advice about several design questions involved.  I particularly like the pride he obviously takes in his work resulting in my brand new GORGEOUS kitchen! The half bath looks great too, but it's hard to be as excited about the bath as I am the kitchen.I can't recommend Arcilio highly enough. We are first time home buyers on a VERY limited budget. We were so nervous about the remodel. Arcilio inspired both trust and confidence. We were so happy with the whole experience. We will definitely call him again for any future remodeling.
