I had been having trouble with my Jeep and the place to which I normally service the Jeep was booked solid so in a panic I decided to give Colonial Dodge Jeep a try.  Big mistake.  I lost a day of work and could not drive back home in my vehicle.  Instead, I had to pay, out of pocket, for a rental car because the mechanics could not complete the work on time and because they FAILED to do a diagnostic and properly diagnose the problem.  The sales person in the Service Department told me a combustion cleaning would solve my Jeep's hesitation problem, but that was NOT the root of the problem.  Had they taken the time to FIRST do a diagnostic, they would have discovered that the purge solenoid needed replacing.  Because of their mechanic's incompetence, I was charged for hours of labor that were not necessary for the problem my Jeep was experiencing.  They said they gave a discount, but the fact of the matter is my Jeep DIDN'T need a combustion cleaning, the problem was the purge valve solenoid (which another honest shop had properly diagnosed from the get-go).  I was charged $600 for a job that would have cost no more than $250, if the mechanics did a diagnostic (in the first place).  At first, the Sales Man said my vehicle was old and was trying to sell me a new vehicle.  Then after I told him, buying a new vehicle was NOT an option, he backed off and said they would try to see if they could perform a "Christmas miracle."  Unfortunately the incompetence of the mechanics cost me over $350 worth of excess repair (repair that was completely unnecessary).  When I asked if they could foot the bill for the rental, the manager was somewhat rude and made it sound like I was asking for a lot (when I am sure he knew the reason for the delay was the incompetence of his service staff).  At a time when everyone is struggling to make ends meet, I don't appreciate the time/money I lost from missed work and the extra unnecessary costs I incurred while having my vehicle serviced.  Colonial Dodge Jeep has lost my business because of this horrible experience.
