I was very happy with the whole transaction. Chaves HVAC has friendly staff, they provided clear and fair pricing, and the technician was prompt, skilled, helpful, and friendly.

Sales technician was well informed and provided multiple timely quotes for scaled scope of services. They offered assistance with MassSave rebates and checked in a month after installation. I would work with them again.

We were VERY pleased with Chaves. We had been without proper heat for two weeks when we contacted them. They came immediately while other companies we had called were slow to respond and not as helpful. Every contact we had with Chaves was professional, friendly and helpful. They had a new heating system installed in two days and at what we considered an excellent price. We would definitely refer them to our friends and would use them again ourselves.

Early in October I get the brilliant idea to have my 32 year old furnace serviced/tuned up for the first time since I've owned my home (approx.5 years), and made the call to Chaves. The earliest they could get me on their schedule (pay attention, there is a lesson here) was the 8th of December. Not good for my immediate needs but it does speak, with the A rating, to their abilities and demand for service. Long story short, ancient (and costly) part after ancient (and costly) part breaks, some crumbling in the tech's hands as they are being worked on, I decide to go with plan B. Replacement. A smart individual would've already had an energy assessment done and the forms for whatever rebates that could be had by this time. Sadly, not this individual! The earliest Mass Saves can get me on their schedule (lesson incoming) is the end of January...... Mass Saves rep: What day would you like? Me: How about Monday? MSR: We have a Monday available in February, how about a Friday in late January? Me: *crickets chirping* I went with a secondary provider who got me what I needed in rebates in a much quicker time frame. Lesson: Early for heating needs would have been SPRING not FALL. Reverse for A/C needs. The date of install had a last minute need for reschedule due to winter storm Greyson, but the bump was only one day and the installation team was at my door PROMPTLY at 7:30 that morning. By 3:00 in the afternoon my new system was pushing out the heat like a jet engine in anticipation of the coldest days of the last few years. No muss, no fuss. I am very happy and grateful that I had Chaves Heating and Air Conditioning to take care of my needs and would recommend them to all.

We had a ductless mini split in the basement and central a/c heat pump installed in our house using the the MassSave Program incentive. We worked with Andre who was the sales consultant and also the installation crew. From the initial visit of looking at our needs and giving us various options and quotes, to the installation of the ductless and AC/heat pump, it was a very positive experience. there were no sales pressure and the installation crew was professional and had open communication. Even after installation and a few months later where we had an issue, Chaves responded promptly.

Installation took several hours by two people and the work was accomplished in a very professional manner.

Excellent. The crew arrived on-time and was completely done by mid-afternoon. Cleaned up and took all the old equipment. Took care of the MassSave Rebate information.

Joe, the sales representative, was fantastic. He guided me through the whole process including the rebate maze. I would hire them again if ever needed.

I think the pricing was high and we had an issue with tax. The solution that I thought was too expensive.

The work was professionally done, the only problem was their quote left out the removal charge for the air conditioner they were replacing.

The original estimate was off by 20% (higher). The owner was willing to negotiate. Boiler leaked after install, the company responded quickly to fix. We appreciate that the owner was will to work with us. So even though there were some bumps, the owners attitude, and prompt resolutions made it worth. We will do business with them in the future.

Upon arrival tech put on his booties before entering the house. He identified the leak and even found a second leak. He did a great job explaining the issue and the repair. From start to finish he was in and out in approx. 1.5 hours.
