I had a unique, tricky situation (this was not a straightforward financing!) and Homestate not only offered the best rates, with the lowest closing costs, but they were flawlessly responsive, incredibly "creative" and SO nice to work with. I can't say enough great things about using them and am so appreciative of the hard work they put into getting me in my new home. I first used Jamie to refinance my previous home. He produced the best rate with no points and no closing costs on a 30 year fixed rate. When the rates had dropped again, Jamie let me know and saved me some more money by refinancing a second time with no points, no closing costs, it was a no brainer. I went right to Jamie for the purchase of my second house. I contacted him for a pre-qualification letter prior to looking for new house. After finding a new home and signing the P and S, Jamie was able to lock me in at the best rate on a 30 year fixed rate loan. HomeState works with so many different lenders that he is able to get the lowest possible rates and fees. The entire process was done via fax, e-mail, and phone. It was fast, easy, painless, and most importantly, stress free. Jamie is a Senior Loan Officer at HomeState and is extremely knowledgeable. He's always there to respond to any questions I have (usually within a matter of minutes) and willing to take the time to educate the customer on the process. Jamie worked very hard on making sure no detail was missed. I have dealt with many mortgage companies in the past which tried to sneak in hidden costs and rate changes, but with HomeState, there were no surprises and was, by far, the best experience.
