Al has the best prices I could find and I have spent a considerable time calling around. The product is high quality. Al is very good about where he dumps the delivery, and has been nice enough to back down a hill to delivery the firewood in a place where I don't have to haul it so far.

I'd been looking for a place from which I could buy firewood in
quantities less than a full cord, as I have no way to store a large
amount of wood. I was tired of paying $6 for those little bundles you
get at the supermarket. I wanted to pick it up myself so I could see
what I was getting.
There are several places that will sell
fractional cords. I went to check out Evergreen Haven and was quite
satisfied with what I got. It was all I could fit into the back of my
hatchback (with the rear seat folded) for $50, and they even loaded the
wood into my car for me.
Very polite, very quick, and about 1/3 the
price of those supermarket bundles. It's seasoned wood and burns
nicely. I believe it was about 1/8 of a cord. A full cord would be
under $400; you do pay a modest premium for smaller amounts.
