Believe It Or Not

I've waited years to write this review because I hoped that maybe things would get better over time. They didn't. He replaced a dozen windows and three exterior doors. We had initial issues because he miscounted the windows, then he couldn't remember specifics of the windows which had to be fixed. Then things like window framing coming off. But the biggest issues were the doors. There were large visible gaps along the sides of the doors where they met the walls. They don't open correctly. And I'm writing the review now because our new doors are rotting because something he did when setting them up makes for large amounts of water intrusion. The doors he replaced were decades old and rot free. These are six years old and we're cutting holes of rot out of them. Do Not Hire.

Contracted with him in early July and doors not installed until early October. We contracted with him because he promised to install within a couple weeks. We confirmed with other companies that the two doors were in stock but he kept saying he was still waiting for one of the doors to be delivered. Poor installation. Door doesn’t close right, not level, and poorly installed, large gap down low. He promised on October 12 to come back to fix the problem. Still waiting. Tired of trying to reach him. The only thing he did quick on the job was cash my checks. I don’t recommend.

One of the worst remodeling experiences. Came to gut the bathroom on the start day, then disappeared for over two weeks as the sun was shining and he was needed elsewhere. Job went $2,000 over budget, contractor went on vacation before the finish and the whole thing took over 6 weeks for a simple refit. I had to get another contractor to install the shower as it seems this vital component was not part of the quote. Poor workmanship overall. Had to get one wall replastered and now another section needs replastering. Even though this was nearly two years ago you can see that I'm still mad. Additionally, while this was happening to me his electrician told me he was having trouble on another job. Don't touch this contractor.

the work went fine, although trying to do this over the winter proved very problematic.  I do NOT recommend doing this type of work between Dec and Feb

The doors were replaced fine. I'd asked that he stain/finish the doors, which he agreed to. However, he only applied polyurethane to the outside of the exterior door...no stain or finish otherwise. Also, he did not read the install instructions on the doggy doors, installing them too low so that our large dogs need to scrunch down in order to go through the openings.

Chris was "unbelievable!" He is a great guy and loves what he does. He was always up beat and positive and full of great ideas about how to save money and do the right thing. We had just moved into our home and did not have a lot to spend but he was willing to work with us. He came in at the best price, did a quality job, and had a wonderful attitude. What more could you want. We would definitely recommend him. He not only treated us with the respect that a customer expects but also the personality and kindness that a customer would want and be grateful for.
