Water Falls Construction & Landscaping

The work went smoothly and they worked in a very neat manner.  I am not sure how they were able crawl into these small spaces, but they did so and never seemed to complain.  They did their best to avoid destroying any plantings and left everything looking neat and clean.
When they completed everything, I did have some concerns about one small area - What I had understood from Rodrigo and what his crew did, varied slightly - (there was a bit of a language barrier when talking with his crew), but Rodrigo was very gracious and they did some additional work to correct what I thought might be a problem.  He did not charge any thing for the additional work.  
Although they were very careful and did their best to work around my in ground sprinkler system, in the spring I did have some leaking in the area where they had worked, however in all fairness to them, this could have been caused by my lawn service when using their machine for deep seeding.
It has been a year since the work was completed.  We have had some major rain and snow since  that time and I have not had any further water damage in my basement.

Hired Rodrigo and his company Water Falls to repair a brick entry stair into my house that has fallen in disrepair. Initial quote was about $3,000 to repoint and replace stairs where needed. After removing the bad bricks and mortar it was discovered that the stairs were in bad shape below. The base concrete had disintegrated to the point where any repair wouldn't last more than a year or two. It was decided to replace the entire stair and landing, for double the original estimate. He used granite slabs for the stairs and top landing with various colored stones for the base. (making it look very ole New Englandy) I also had him partition off and fill in an additional parking space with small stones and line it with large stone bricks.

He was very thorough with his descriptions of the problem and help me understand the situation of my stairs.  He could have taken advantage by setting the price higher but didn't, as a result I felt that the price was very fair.  I am marking him down in one area, he had a worker who left cigarettes butts around the work area, also I had a small fur tree die that was planted only 6 inches from the stairs.  Understandable.

We learned about Waterfalls via door-to-door solicitation in our neighborhood. The team was courteous and professional from the start, and they provided us with a clear quotation and plenty of information on the work to be done. One thing we appreciated about Rodrigo was that he asked us a lot of questions about what we wanted in the new steps and walkway, and he seemed keen on our being happy with our choices in brick and stone. We got a lot of quotes from many companies on this work, and Waterfalls was among the lowest. The crew was friendly and they worked extremely hard throughout the day, and they always cleaned up their mess at the end of each day, which impressed us greatly. Once the front steps (granite and brick) and walkway (brick in a herringbone pattern) were complete, we asked Rodrigo about using some of the old flagstone from the old walkway for a back patio. I was planning to install them myself, but for an extra $1000, Rodrigo's team put in a beautiful patio using some old flagstone and some new materials (brick around the edge and additional flagstone). The end result is fantastic. I have only minor negative aspects to report for this job. First, the work were that construction started a bit later and took a bit longer than we anticipated, but I think this may be normal for this type of work in the Boston area. Second, during the demo phase the crew uncovered a gigantic carpenter ant nest in the wood beams under the front porch. Rodrigo said it would be no problem for his crew to replace the wood, but I wasn't completely happy with their choices in lumber and their approach to removing the old wood. I ended up running to Home Depot to purchase the properly sized lumber, and I did some of the work myself (I do woodworking, so I'm pretty particular regarding wood projects). But these are minor complaints with an overall excellent job. The finished front steps/walkway and the back patio look amazing, and I'd happily use Waterfalls again.

They did an excellent job in a very small period of time. They showed up on time and were very professional. They were very hard working and did more than necessary, without over charging. Their price was very good and I would recommend them.
