Mr Gutter

I recently had my gutter replaced by two young gentleman I believe they’re names were Joe and Mark. These men did an absolutely amazing job they left they’re work area spot less. They answered all the questions I had in a professional manner. They were overall very friendly and just a great team. 100% would recommend to anyone!

Terrific. I'm usually a bit wary of franchises, but all their staff and workers have been great. Very professional, prompt, and they clearly explained why certain pieces of gutter or downspouts needed to be replaced, and even told me when certain work was not necessary!

I did not inspect when the job was done.... a big mistake. When I looked at the gutters 11 months later, I saw that the gutters were completely filled with debris, and the gutter guards were installed with a 1 to 1.5 inch space between the guard and the front of the gutter. This is obviously incorrect. Although the owner (or manager?) agreed that are wrong, he insisted that I must have uninstalled and reinstalled them voiding the warranty. That would have required me lifting the bottom shingle and tucking the guard farther up the roof. I would have no reason doing this. Further, I do not climb twenty something feet on ladders anymore. No other work had been done on the house after the gutter guards were installed. He refused to come out and discuss with me, just falling back on the idea that somebody had mysteriously sabotaged his work. This was absurd and disappointing.

The house we bought in 2016 did not have gutters and the front yard slopes toward the house so, in heavy rains, water would pool up against the house and come into the basement. We solved this problem by having the basement waterproofed (thanks to Real Dry Waterproofing) and having Mr. Gutter install gutters. The installation was incredibly quick and problem-free and the gutters look great. Because of a miscommunication, the gutter guards that we ordered were not installed (this was mostly my fault). I called the company up and they had someone come out very quickly (maybe the next day) and install the guards--again, the installation was super fast and painless. We're extremely happy with the gutters and haven't had any water in the basement since. I highly recommend these guys.

They were a little slow responding to my initial contact, but once the estimator came to price out the job things went smoothly. He was courteous and professional (as were the actual installers) and made me feel that I had a pro on the job. I was told I was the first appointment for the day of the installation, but without telling me, they scheduled another job first meaning my job started four hours later than anticipated. But, again, once this communication snafu was out of the way, the workmen did a good job. The gutters look great and I have no complaints. So I guess an A- or B+.

I needed to replace one section of gutter that ran along the L shaped room extension of my ranch and add a downspout to it. I also requested they clean all the gutters. They did a good job and I would use them again.

Mr. Gutter was the only contractor (out of four) that didn't automatically say they needed to replace everything. They showed me where the fascia was rotted, and that the rot only went in about 10 feet from the edge. They said there was no reason to replace everything, and gave an excellent price for several options. They never tried to upsell - they presented options (heavier gauge, etc.) but said that I was probably fine going with a simple replacement of the gutter and half the fascia. They also rerouted two other gutters to tie into a large drain, which will help a lot with water pooling against the back of the house.

They were punctual, professional and did an excellent job. Took only 1-1/2 hours to remove old gutter system and install the new one! Will reccomend them to anyone!

1. Scheduling - Extremely poor. I called in late summer/early fall and was scheduled for the week of October 14-18 with assurances that they would call me the week before to tell me the specific day & time. Never happened. I called them to see what was happening and was told they were very busy and not able to come that week after all. When I asked why they didn't call me to let me know...it was a very inadequate oops-we-forgot. BUT, they assured me that I was on their schedule and would get a call back to reset the time. Well, they called me on extremely short notice to do the job on December 14th. I asked if it was to late to do the gutters at this point BUT they said it wasn't. I should have told them nevermind because it really was too late. Some of the gutters were already frozen when they arrived, but the guys still insisted it was OK to go ahead. 2. Workmanship - Poor/Incomplete. They were at the house for 30 minutes maximum, did not clean all the gutters well due to ice, and still charged the full price of $175 (and I have a small house). 3. Attitude - I informed the workers that they should not walk on the roof of my sunroom but they completely disregarded me and did anyway. I was very irritated with them. 4. Aftermath - This spring, during a torrential rain, I noticed that the gutters on the sunroom were not draining, and actually that they were full and spilling over the full length of the edge. I had to go up on the ladder and look at it and saw that the gutters were completely full of leaves and guck, and the downspouts were clogged. So, I had to clean them out myself. There was no reason I could think of for all the leaves to be in the gutters since the foliage was long gone when they came to clean them back in the fall. I think they just did a very inadequate, rushed and incomplete job. I am going to look for someone else to do my gutters in the future.

Their estimate was for $302. I was not here when they came so they left the estimate in the mail box but they came right away,they came the next day and I am going to use them.

We called to have an estimate. They showed up ontime, gave a great estimate and told us it would be about one week for service. In two days they called to say they had an opening. Came by, performed the work. Both guys were excellent.

They were great. The estimate they gave was very good. They were able to get the work done in timely manner. They did the work in a strict time frame. The workers and the guy who gave the estimate were great. We really like their service. We had a billing issue but other than that the service was very good. They were quick to respond once I called them on the billing issue.

I asked for a quote they came within 3 days and had both a good price and good ideas. they were done in less then 2 hours - not a difficult job but they did just as promised in the quote.

They were really fast, had very fair prices, flexible, accommodating, efficient, and timely. They were one of the only companies that had a sales man that would come out and talk to you about all your options.

I asked for an estimate for gutter repair and an appointment to get my gutters cleaned. They were unable to do both at the same visit, so I scheduled an appt 3 weeks in advance for the gutter cleaning and they gave my name to their estimator to get in touch with me. The estimator called a week later, saying that he would be in my neighborhood the next day at 1:30, and he would like to see me then. I have a job. I called and said I couldn't meet him then, and moreover, it wasn't likely to work to just have him call me when he would happen to be in the neighborhood. I told him that I can meet him in the early morning or late afternoon. That isn't possible for him because he travels too far (!) He called twice more in the evening asking me if I could meet him at 1:30 on the following day. As for the gutter cleaning, I had made an appt at 8:30 three weeks in advance, and arranged to take time off from work in the a.m. to be there. The night before, they called to confirm, and two hours later called back to say that it would be "a little later" - like 11 a.m.! I had to work and called them back (left a message) saying that I can't do that because I have to go to work. Of course I let them know I was displeased. They never called me back. Total lack of regard for the fact that people can't be at their beck and call.

Decided to go with this company due to price and interaction with the estimator. Overall, the installation crew showed up earlier than expected. Communication with the main office was great as far as setting up time and day in the future so one of us could be home. The crew was efficient and had completed the work in one hour. Had to pick up some minor debris left on the ground after their departure. Also found out after the installation crew left that their truck had a gasoline leak and had left two large soiled areas on our asphalt driveway. If we need to replace gutters again I'm not sure I would use this company again. There is no "Maybe" category.

The estimator was prompt & demonstrated sound skill at assessing only essential repairs to our 3-story home with aging gutters. The estimate was reasonable (& the finished job matched the estimate). The estimate arrived after the site visit in late December, so it was approved & returned to the Mr. Gutter in the first week of January. The contract indicated that work would begin when weather permitted. I left it to them to pick a start time. Did not hear from Mr. Gutter for the next three months, so in March I contacted them to ask when work would begin. I was told that the scheduler would contact me. But weeks passed & I did not hear from them in May, so here at the start of June I was forced to call again. The second call prompted them to to start work replacing the gutters the following day. The job was executed in less than 2 hours & the crew was professional & efficient. I would recommend their work, but was perplexed by the scheduling delays. Not sure why communication problems plagued this job, however, once the Mr Gutter crew got on site & started repairs, all went well. Update: Had Mr. Gutter return in April 2013 to replace remaining older gutters. This time service was very timely. We had an older segment of gutter hanging due to a storm. The estimator came immediately. We got an estimate & then a wait for clement weather. When decent weather arrived I called the scheduler & she had the crew start that week. The installers did an excellent job. We're very pleased with the results.

Mr. Gutter was very easy to work with even though I have a full time job and was not available to meet with them personally. Mr. Gutter came to house while I was at work but after I spoke with them on the phone and provided an estimate that gave a low-cost option as well as a higher priced one that would give me greater reliability. The estimate was mailed to me and they followed up with a telephone call to go over the specifics of the estimate and the options available. My existing gutters, though less than 3 years old were overflowing and ponding. They were never installed correctly with the proper pitch, and did not have an adequately sized downspout in one area to handle the run-off from the roof area where mutiple surfaces were emptying to one downspout. As a result of this, I suffered basement leaks during heavy downpours. Mr. Gutter came promptly and cleaned out all of the gutters and downspouts, in addition to replacing the one downspout with a larger size, repitched all of the gutters and provided additional hardware where needed. They installed leaf guards on my front and side gutters, and in the rear of the house that is two-stories high and very inaccessible, they installed their top of the line gutter guard so I won't have to worry about it again for years to come. They were responsive in returning phone calls, arrived when they were scheduled to, and accomplished the work without leaving any mess. When I came home from work after they finished up, the yard and everything they worked with was in perfect condition. I would definitely use them again if needed, and highly recommend them to others.

They came and gave me an estimate for gutter repair and also to replace all gutters. I chose the repair route and they fixed the area in question, added a downspout in the rear of the house where one was needed, and cleaned the gutters. They weren't able to finish completely the first time because of snow and ice, but came back several months later and finished AND cleaned the gutters again! No additional charge

The gentleman that came out to do our estimate was on time and brought pictures and samples. He did not try to pressure us into buying. When we did commit,we signed and gave a deposit. Someone from the office called to set up our installation. The 2 men that came out were done in no time and even tested the gutters. We ordered our gutters in 1 color and the down spouts in another to blend in with the house. You hardly know there there. We could not be more pleased. We will be having them back to do our barn next.

He was prompt and came out quickly. He did what he said he would do and charged what he said he would charge. I was satisfied with his service.

This company gave me an estimate on some gutter section repairs. Their quote was over 3 times higher than the others!

Their price was competitive with the others, and they were able to come the quickest. I have a slate roof, and I guess there was miscommunication about this on the first day of the job. They were very nice and accommodating about it and did not get frustrated. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.
