So glad to have found The Amazing Mason Who Calls You Back! I knew little about what I needed except that water was bubbling up from a crumbly looking spot in the basement of my new home (built 1923). Rich figured out a strategy to keep it dry without spending the five figures I expected from my Internet research before that. He had to push the start date forward once. He excavated a rotten section of the basement floor, put in a new drainage pipe, and replaced the concrete, and he also excavated a spot in the lowest corner and installed a sump pump. I added in the repair of the basement steps and the concrete pad as I thought of them, and also had him weld my broken bulkhead door. He asked permission to dispose of some material on site and put it where I asked him to. And he left the basement neat and clean. All seems to have turned out great! Got no water during the latest big rainstorm (4"), though the true test will come at snowmelt time. And it's so much easier to get in and out of the basement--and it doesn't even seem as creepy as it used to.
Description of Work: Repair leaking basement floor, install sump pump, level steps to basement, build concrete pad for washer and dryer.
